Santo Spirito apartment description
Italy Perfect Winner Trip Advisor-FlipKey Award of Excellence 2011, 2012, 2013. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Top Florence Specialist 2012 & 2013. Travel & Leisure Magazine Italy All-Star 2013.
The calendar is up-to-date. 4 night minimum booking period & 7 night minimum Christmas, New Years.
The Anna Florence rental apartment delights the visitor with comfortable, elegant furnishings and amenities. The narrow balcony overlooks the tile rooftops and cupola of the Santo Spirito church. Planted window boxes hang from the wrought iron railing, adding a touch of greenery.
Take a walk through the Anna apartment by viewing the video. See link above.
You will be hard-pressed to find a more romantic Florence apartment. The Anna Florence vacation apartment is located on Via di Santo Spirito just a few blocks from the Ponte Vecchio on the gentrified Oltrarno side of the river. It’s a romantic, beautifully decorated apartment that will make for a special stay in Florence. Via di Santo Spirito is a charming street lined with elegant antique shops, artisan workshops and boutiques in an ideal location for exploring Florence. The Uffizi Gallery & Duomo are just across the river, the Pitti Palace is five minutes away. Or take a leisurely stroll through the nearby Boboli Gardens, which were once the private, palatial gardens of the Medici family during the Renaissance.
Two blocks from the apartment Piazza Santo Spirito welcomes you with cafes and restaurants along the piazza. Several fresh produce stands are open in the piazza in the morning where you can buy provisions for lunch or dinner.
The Anna apartment is in a 15th century apartment building located on a street lined with many artisan workshops.
The butter-yellow fresco style walls of the apartment give a soft hue and provide a warm backdrop for the elegant style of the apartment, complemented by high ceilings with exposed beams. Great care has been taken in the thoughtful remodeling to make excellent use of the space, capped by decor that is tasteful, comfortable and elegant.
The living room sofa is flanked by a comfortable wing-backed chair and an ottoman. Good reading lights, custom cabinetry and charming decorative touches add to the comfort and appeal. The antique dining table has seating for four. Step up to the small but efficient kitchen, which is up a half-level and overlooks the living room. It is fully furnished with pots, pans, dishes and is decorated with hand-painted Italian ceramic tiles and a marble countertop.
There is a small balcony off the living room, it is not large enough to sit out on but you can open the balcony door for air.
At the opposite end of the living room is the sleeping alcove, partially hidden behind soft, sheer linen drapes that hang from behind the arch that leads to the alcove. While this is a studio apartment, the layout still provides some measure of privacy and space given the separation between the living areas.
The tiled bathroom has been fully updated and has a large step-in shower with glass doors, sink and toilet.
A special characteristic of this apartment is the feeling of light and space due to the high ceilings which contribute to the overall volume of the apartment.
The apartment building does not have an elevator and is located on the 5th floor (4th floor European) so guests have an opportunity to work off pasta and gelato indulgences. Guests are advised to plan their luggage accordingly since it is a hike to get heavy suitcases up the steps, and, because it is a studio apartment, there is very limited storage space for large luggage. Once at the top though, you’ll be rewarded for your efforts with splendid views, a quiet and beautiful apartment for a memorable Florence stay.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Our visit to Florence was exceptional and the Anna apartment was supreme. We loved everything about it, even the climb; so worth it. The location is primo and accommodations were exactly what we needed. We need not look any further for our next stay in Florence. Anna it will be. Thanks Italy Perfect for helping make our stay warm, inviting, welcoming, and spot on for touring.

Perfection!Guest comment entered by manager
We loved everything about our stay at Apartment Anna and wished we could have stayed more than a week! The apartment was spacious, well equipped and couldn't have been more charming. We had a great view of the neighborhood's rooftops from the small terrace. Veronica, our greeter was lovely and so helpful, particularly in helping us to retrieve our lost bags. The location is ideal on the quieter side of the Arno, and yet, an easy walking distance to all the must-see attractions. Veronica provided us with nearby restaurant recommendations, and we never ventured more than several blocks for great food. We also appreciated having a nice grocery store in the neighborhood. We've already given rave reviews of Italy Perfect and Apartment Anna to friends and family!!

An excellent base in FlorenceGuest comment entered by manager
An excellent base in Florence
Overall you'll find Anna Apartment the perfect place for a vacation in Florence. Ideally located, picturesque and one of the best restaurants is on the same street, Osteria Del Cinghiale Bianco - it's simply a must. (Note from Italy Perfect. We thank this guest for his repeat business. This was his third stay at the Anna apartment.)

Great exercise and viewGuest comment entered by manager
Great exercise and view
Positives Greeter was great very helpful and available nice view which is lit up at night nice looking and well laid out apartment big bed large and firm tall shower with wand Nice selection of CD's to play very safe easy walking distance to everything, no public transportation needed, except maybe to San MIniato al monte and piazzale michaelangelo if you don't like hiking uphill for a nice view of the city. very quiet except for the morning church bells at 8am Negatives The lights in the stairway turn themselves off to save energy, and you need to hit the square light-switch boxes that stick out from the wall on each level to turn them on. The first one is under the mailboxes, about even with the end of the front door when it is open. [Note from Italy Perfect: The Italian government requires lights to be on short timers in all apartment buildings.] The initial climb is not a lot of fun with luggage but afterwards it is no problem. Misc Get a florenze card at the tourist information center across from the train station, it covers most admissions and lets you skip lines. The florenze card entrance to Santa Maria Novella church is right at the tourist information office and it is definitely worth seeing. Do not miss the Duomo baptistry it is amazing on the inside. As long as you are not severely claustrophobic or acrophobic do not miss the Duomo climb as the views from the top are excellent.

A Divine Apartment in Quiet Part of Florence
Anna is in a great location and overall an excellent apartment. It has everything you need and we highly recommend. One of the most incredible restaurants is also located on the same street, Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco, a must when in Florence.

The location is perfect.
We recently were fortunate enough to visit our daughter in Florence and stay at the Anna property. The location is perfect. One block from the river, in a quiet neighborhood, and totally safe. Great shops and restaurants are nearby, and a short walk to all the sights. When we return we will stay at Anna again.

Our stay was delightful!
Our stay at the Anna apartment in Florence was delightful! Lovely Italian décor; each detail exquisite. Very comfortable bed. The view of Santo Spirito from the balcony is so pretty, especially illuminated at night. Location is perfect! Quiet residential street. Literally steps away from yummy local neighborhood restaurants/gelato and just a short walk to all of the sites in Florence that we wanted to see. Felt very safe. The apartment does get very warm/stuffy; the fan in the closet helped a lot. Also, the water pressure in the shower varied from low to non-existent at times (all part of the adventure). We did not mind the steps at all, but were glad we knew about them in advance! Florence is a magical city, and we can’t wait until our return. If we are lucky, it will be back to the Anna apartment! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

great location, charming apt, LOTS of stairs
great location, charming apt, LOTS of stairs
we agree with the other reviews - this apt is in a great location, off the hustle and bustle of busy florence but still close enough to walk everywhere. apt is pretty, and well appointed, and i loved the balcony. the only thing was the stairs- you kinda get used to them after a few days, but i didn't listen to the tip to travel light, and i honestly don't think i could have gotten my rolling bag up all those stairs by myself (thanks honey). it was pretty hot in florence, and i don't know if it's possible to add air conditioning, but if not, another fan would have been nice - we slept fine as the nights cooled down and there was a breeze. besides the obvious tourist recommendations, here's a few tips - boboli gardens, then grab a pizza at Gusta Pizza on via maggio. gellato at gelateria santa tinita. we watched italy beat england in the euro cup at a pub called Friends on via spaggio- very fun. not to be missed: go to the wine bar across from pitti palace called Pitti Gola E Cantina. zeno is one of the owners and not only is the wine great and the ravioli was amazing, it's a fun night. buy the cook a glass of red wine, and tell her bob and molly said hi :) overall a great trip and we enjoyed staying at the 'anna'.

Manager response: So pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay, the great location and pretty decor. Sorry you did not heed our advice to pack light on account of the stairs.

The Anna apartment was Great!
The Anna was Great! Italy Perfect/Lisa did a excellent job preparing us for the trip. Everything went smoothly for my first time in Italy. The location and surrounding area was very convenient for us. We enjoyed shopping at the local grocery store and vegetable/fruit stand and eating at the local restaurants and gelato parlors very much. We were a little nervous about making the initial contact with our greeter upon arrival and also getting a taxi to our door upon departure, but both of those occurred without a hitch. We would certainly recommend Italy Perfect to anyone who was considering a trip to Italy.

The apartment was very charming
The apartment was very charming and very well decorated. We loved the area, close enough to walk to everything, but in a quiet residential street with small shops. The only drawback was the noise from the neighbors who argued everyday from about 5 pm until 11 pm. It appeared that their entrance was in the next building because there was no apartment on the same floor which had a door to that side of the building. I was surprised that such an old building would not have thicker walls. I did find this quite disturbing because there was no way to address this. I realize that this is city living as I have a city apartment in Chicago and occasionally hear my neighbors, but this was every day. Dear Mary - I'm sorry to hear about arguing neighbors. Of the many reviews we've received this is the first mention of that issue. I hope, for everyone's sake, the mysterious neighbors start getting along better! Lisa at Italy Perfect
