We had the time of our lives and truly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated home. The view was worth a million dollars and we loved the spa style bathrooms. We felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel. We enjoyed snorkeling at Hanauma Bay which is was in walking distance. I would highly recommend this lovely home for anyone's vacation, we plan to return as soon as possible.

Our days in Oahu where spent in this home above Diamond Head. Our favorite part of the house was the front Lanai. It was almost enough to lie there in the evenings feeling the ocean breeze on your face. However, if that wasn't enough...getting lost in the site of that aqua sea surrounded by mountain vistas should have been. (Sunsets were breathtaking). The house is obviously well loved as the decorations were interesting & lovely. The kitchen was well equipped, the BBQ worked, & beach towels were provided. Sandy the owner is easy to work with, Mahalo Sandy for your kindness while my mother-in-law was ill.The only thing that concerned us was the lack of air-conditioning; we are from NJ after all. Don’t even think about it, air is almost never needed. The only negative if you can call it that,..the home is not a place for small children. One suggestion Sandy: bikes! We miss being “on” Island & would return in a Waikiki minute! Aloha, the Santangelo’s

We had a wonderful stay in Oahu at Sandys home. It has a beautiful view from both levels, we so enjoyed the outdoor balconey for breakfast and happy hour. The location was perfect for us visiting the northshore or visiting Wakiki for shopping and great eating. My famity was a little disappointed we were not on the beach, but the view made up for that. My recommendation would be to rent a car,so you can also tour the island so many good places to visit. I would highly recommend this lovely home for a getaway.

This beautiful home provided the perfect accomodations for our family's stay on Oahu. The house is comfortable, well located, wonderfully appointed and beautifully designed with the most amazing view of Diamond Head. It is obvious that the owner takes great pride in her special getaway/home. Beds are extremely comfortable, baths are luxurious and modern, and the lanai overlooking Diamond Head is the ne plus ultra location for sipping coffee in the morning or cocktails late afternoon while enjoying the breeze and sunrise/set. The well appointed kitchen and laundry room stocked with beach towels made our stay most convenient as well. Shops, restaurants, and grocery stores are all within walking distance and the location was a short drive to our favorite destinations: the North Shore for surfing, Lanikai beach for relaxing, sightseeing in Honolulu and Honauma Bay for snorkeling. Our family of 5 (including kids 13, 11, and 9) was quite impressed and pleased with this "breathtaking view home" in Hawaii Kai.

My two friends and I stayed for a week at this very lovely home and it was hard to leave. Being there was so peaceful and relaxing that we almost hated leaving each the day to tour the island. The home is exquisitely decorated and has million dollar views from practically every room. Sitting on the balconies morning for breakfast and evening just relaxing and taking in the view was worth it all. We all want to come back here again to soak up the atmosphere. Thank you, Sandy, for your kind hospitality and your beautiful home we were blessed to be able to enjoy.

I stayed at Sandy's house with two families for four nights. The interior and furniture Sandy selected are very nice. That's why all of us preferred dining at the house surrounded with great ocean view and the interior, rather than to going out. Everything was kept very clean. We understood she pays much attention to maintaining the house perfect for all guests. It was very pleasant vacation on Oahu. The location of the house is also attractive, having a major marketplace nearby in walkable distance. We rented cars and it was easy accessing Waikiki/Ala Moana areas - only 20/30 minutes' drive. We enjoyed both nature on northshore and city on southshore. We are sure the great memories of the vacation at Sandy's house will bring us to the same place again. Thank you, Sandy.

My wife and I, our daughter and her friend, enjoyed 15 fabulous, breathtaking, relaxing days at your Island Girl(Sandy)Retreat. The Trade wind breezes come right throught the house, and are so relaxing, and refreshing after a long day of sightseeing, and walking on the beach. The trade winds also allowed you to sleep like a rock at night. Views of the sunsets, sunrises, blue ocean waters and the green mountains with cloud covered tops from the balconies and Lanais are incredibaly breathtaking, to say the least. Sandy's house is located in a quiet residential neihberhood, away from the busy crowds, minutes from the house is a shopping center, drug store, wine and dine, take out, and a movie theatre. We enjoyed driving our rental car up the driveway each night knowing that other tourists are paying 25.00 per day to park their cars at hotel parking lots. Thanks Sandy for welcoming us to your humble abode.Favorites, Hanauma Bay snorkeling,Ala-moana beach Park,Exteme parasailing,Manoa Falls/Diamond Head/Koko Crater hiking trails,Paradise cove Lua,take out food-Diamond Head Market and Grill, awesome foods and desserts(try the blueberry scones).Island Hopped to Muai and enjoyed the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours, Phiilo Ranch Zip Line, awesome (5 Line) zip line and the Maui Ocean center. Also read the comments posted by Tom 9/7/07 they are 100% word for word.

We just returned from spending a week in Oahu for spring break with our teenage kids. We debated whether to rent a house closer to Waikiki or one that was further away with less traffic & better views. Well we are so happy that we selected Sandy's house. It is a great get-away from the crowds, much more peaceful, and with awesome views of the ocean and Diamond Head. The house is immaculate because it is not just a rental, it is there home. You will find everything to be topnotch. Sandy is wonderful to deal with and very accomodating. We would definitely rent from her again if we have a chance to return to Oahu.

My Husband and Myself along with my Father-in-law & Sister-in-law stayed in this beautiful home for 10 days in January. We all enjoyed spending time on both the upper & lower lanais admiring the views and gorgeous sunsets. The interior is just as beautiful and is very tastefully furnished & decorated in a fun, comfortable, yet sophisticated island style. The bathrooms are truly spa style! The location was perfect with everywhere we wanted to go being just a short drive away. Staying in the home was very relaxing and contained everything we needed while away on vacation. Sandy (the owner) is extremely thoughtful and has even included a very helpful guidebook. Thanks again Sandy for sharing your island home with us! We had a great vacation. Lynne, Edmonton, AB CANADA

We were delighted with our stay in Sandy's house in Portlock. The views are great from the lanai, and the neighborhood is perfect for long walks. The house is comfortable and relaxing, and the location is convenient for any activity on Oahu, yet out of the crowded Honolulu/Waikiki area. Sandy is very responsive and great to work with, and we will definitely plan to stay at Sandy's house again when we return to Oahu.
