And while you’ll feel miles away from civilization, the cottage is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from charming and historic Langley and a 60-minute car/ferry ride from downtown Seattle.

Discover tranquility in the breathtaking scenery. This no-bank beach cabin faces east for panoramic views of the Puget Sound. Watch ferry boats and bustling sea life, or enjoy the serenity of secluded beaches and a stunning view of majestic Mount Baker.

Marvel at local wildlife. A true island retreat, Glendale Beach Cabin offers a prime view of Northwest nature at its most spectacular. Sip your coffee while Bald Eagles and herons perch on the pilings in front of the cabin. See the Gray Whales in mid-March-May, and Orcas swim by during the fall and early winter. Watch as porpoises, sea lions, otters and seals frolic in the waves just off shore. Glendale Creek, an active salmon stream, empties just south of the cabin so you can see returning Coho salmon (or ‘silvers’) head up to spawn September through November.

Choose from tons of fun activities. Take a tranquil walk on miles of pristine sand/gravel beach, or just sit back and enjoy the view from the large deck, covered porch or comfortably appointed cabin. The bedroom boasts a full-sized iron bed with premium mattress, quality down comforter and high-thread-count organic cotton bedding from Garnet Hill. After a blissful night’s sleep, you can wake up and enjoy a glorious sunrise over Possession Sound without even lifting your head off the plush down pillows. Ahhh….

Bright and airy, the living and dining rooms offer picture windows on three sides for exceptional Puget Sound views. In cooler weather, the warm ambiance and oversized furniture invite you to cozy up next to the gas fireplace and rekindle your spirit. The very comfortable queen sofa-sleeper provides an extra bed, if needed. A water-facing window seat/day bed is lavished with pillows and can be used as a twin bed or wonderful napping spot. We also provide lots of extra cotton blankets, down throws and linens for your use.

The well-organized kitchen is open to the living and dining rooms for easy conversations. You’ll find all the necessities here, and then some ~ nice dishes, flatware, wine glasses, a quality knife set, Cuisinart cookware, griddle, bakeware, roasting pan and blender, even basic cooking supplies like sugar, flour, oil, some spices, foil, plastic wrap and paper towels. Add to this a full-size refrigerator and range, microwave, programmable Cuisinart coffee maker, Krups bean grinder and fresh gourmet coffee or a selection of fine teas.

Two bathrooms enhance your convenience: one with an antique claw-foot tub perfect for a relaxing candle-lit soak, and the other with a new glass-and-tile-enclosed shower (including a safety bar) both stocked with plush, organic-cotton towels.

The large beachside deck offers plenty of space for summertime barbecues, meals outside and lounging. Complete with a picnic table, driftwood furniture, beach chairs, fire pit and dry wood, it offers everything you need for idyllic outdoor living.

  • This is the very best place for viewing wildlife! In one week we saw: 1 gray whale, a pod of dolphins, harbor seals, otters, a pair of nesting bald eagles who spent the whole day on the pier, kingfishers, lots of cormorants and gulls. I also enjoyed the changing colors & textures of the water and sky. Incredible place to slow down, relax and look. The cabin was comfortable, the kitchen well- stocked.   • We spent Easter Day at the Glendale Beach Cabin. You will want to stay at this lovely place. The view is fantastic. It is located right on the water front. Out in the distance you can watch the Ferrys crossing back and forth from Mukilteo. It is very picturesque. And, talk about wildlife: We were fortunate to see many porpoises. A bald eagle also graced us with his presence. We spotted a lone sea lion out playing in the water. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. It is well stocked with all the essentials for the kitchen, a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, and range. And how can one complain with having TWO bathrooms. Right out the sliding glass doors is a huge deck with lounge chairs and a nice firepit. Beachcombing is plentiful. If you ever stay here, you will want to come back. I know we are going back.

  • We stayed at the beach cabin on Glendale Beach and had a splendid time! We strolled the beach for clams, saw a sea lion, a pod of dolphins and ferries galore! It was a lovely escape from our workaday world in the city and we hope to return soon when we get the chance!

  • The ammenities could not have been nicer; from the well stocked kitchen that was not lacking for a single item, to the bathrooms with fluffy thick towels, high quality candles and very comfortable and appropriate decor, to the large comfotable bed with the finest of linens and warm down comforters, no detail or comfort was overlooked. This is not your run of the mill setting, nor is it the run of the mill cabin or owners. No single thing could have improved my stay. Quiet, serene setting, with gray whales, "Dahls' porpoises, Bald Eagles, and various other shore birds, clam digging, hiking and beach combing, all to be followed at night by a wonderful firepit with seating to return to, well stocked with firewood, kindling and even the stick matches and dry paper. A covered as well as uncovered deck takes all weather into consideration with plenty of room inside to sit and watch the activity that unfolds before you. There is a cozy warm fire, plenty of books, magazines, games, and little details like kalidecopes, wonderful dishware, window seats with warm throws, great decorating and a clean and welcome appearance. I recommend the Glendale Beach Cabin as a respite from the rest of the world for any couple or family looking to enjoy much, much more than your usual "beach cabin" experience.

  • Glendale Beach Cottage was a perfect getaway from the city. We were really impressed! The cabin is ultra-comfortable and has everything you could possibly need, including a stellar view of the water. At high tide it is almost like being on a boat. It is QUIET AND COMFY!! The loving touches by the proprietors, Rachel and John, really show in the high quality details. We also were lucky enough to see 2 Gray Whales, many porpoises and 3 Bald Eagles. We will definitely be return guests.
