Enjoy our recently refurbished cottage located less than 90 feet from the northwest shore of Burt Lake. You will have an outstanding view through the large picture window,from the deck or anywhere along the 145 foot lakefront. There is a long dock and swim platform for enjoyment of Burt Lake's clear waters. If bringing a boat, launch facilities are less than ten minutes away and a mooring is available.
We also have a 14 foot fishing boat for your use. Burt Lake is a great fishing site with bass, perch, walleye and brown trout. Nearby is the Maple River if your avocation is stream fishing for brook trout. There are several golf courses within a ten minute drive and another four or five within a 30 minute drive. You are located on the Inland Waterway with access to three other inland lakes and several rivers. Ultimately the Great Lakes are accessible via this waterway.
If shopping and sightseeing is more to your liking, look no further. Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Mackinaw City are a short drive away. In Mackinaw you can catch the ferry to Mackinaw Island. Rent a bike and set your own pace as there are no motor vehicles on the island. If you avail yourself of the many fine restaurants in the area and feel the need to work the calories off, there are both bike and hiking trails nearby.
Lest you forget that you are on vacation, many previous visitors say the best part is relaxing and enjoying the view.
