If you are looking to spend time in the Deadwood, South Dakota, area for your next vacation getaway, then look no further. This residence is at 7,000 feet and is the highest residence in South Dakota. It provides you all the summer activities you would desire and ski-in/ski-out availability to the Lodge at Terry Peak during the winter ski season. The owners of this property really took the time to meet their guests’ needs and went above and beyond with a special touch to make your stay the best that it can be.
This beautiful, custom-built home exceeded my bear expectations. I loved the beautiful detailed work throughout the home, the spacious bathrooms, high class décor and furnishings. The nicely equipped kitchen had everything you would need to make a gourmet meal, and the dining area was large enough to seat all my bear friends.
The large, custom windows allowed us to enjoy the surrounding expansive view from the whole back side of the home. You can sit and ponder the splendor in front of you while relaxing on the deck that stretches the full length of the home, or frolic in the hot tub under the stars in privacy. Every room provided peace and the feel that you are in the comfort of your own home. The radiant floor heating on all three levels kept my chilly paws oh so warm. This home also features a heated garage to house all your ski gear, or entertain the largest of visiting bears and their cubs.
The owners took the time to provide information on the surrounding area restaurants, shops and entertainment. If you are looking to spend more time out than in (although once you see this home, you won’t want to leave) Deadwood has endless activity opportunities such as skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling, hiking, fishing, golf, biking, sightseeing, shopping, and gaming.
My stay was absolutely wonderful, and I know you would love it too.

The house was in a beautiful location, perfect for touring the area, pictures do not do it justice. All the bedrooms were large with bathrooms to match. There were three common areas that made gathering easy and comfortable. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and were greeted with alot of snow already on the ground and 2 days that kept us homebound ( in late April) so we were disappointed that on arrival we discovered the main floor fireplace was inoperable. There were a few other maintenance and housekeeping issues that we addressed with management. As frequent renters we were thrilled to discover that soap and paper products were supplied, which is not always the case.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family and I stayed here in June for a long weekend to celebrate my father's 60th Birthday. We had 12 adults and 9 children and this house was the perfect fit! The house has been very tastefully decorated and no expense was spared on the features of this home. It was wonderfully set up with large bathrooms in each bedroom and lots of additional room including large bunk beds for the kids. I have stayed in other VRBO homes that advertise accomodation of large groups and only have 1 small refridgerator ect. Not the case with this home, lots of room, wonderful kitchen and it is truely set up for a large group. We had a very enjoyable time at this beautiful home and hope to stay again sometme!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were a group of motorcycle enthusiasts in for Sturgis this year and we all loved the house. Location was close enough to the action that it was a short drive to everything we wanted to see, but far enough away that it wasn't in the middle of all the craziness of bike week. Beautiful decor and wonderful view, and the 5 private baths are a big plus for a large group. Only drawback for us was the new gravel that had just been put on the bottom of the driveway, but overall a fantastic place. Could use some more comfy pillows, though, everyone was looking for different pillows fro their beds.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
