Hans's Basecamp is in the heart of Yosemite National park--eight miles from the scenic Rostrum overlook and Badger Pass ski resort, eleven miles from the Wawona Tunnel overlook, thirteen miles to El Capitan Meadow, twenty two miles from the Mariposa Giant Sequoia Grove, fourteen miles from the Wawona stables, restaurant, and golf course. Two miles to the first of many hiking trails.
The home has three decks and trees all around. It is close enough to quickly get to all the major attractions in Yosemite. It is far enough away from the bustling center of the park to give you a peaceful mountain experience.
We have a huge DVD and VCR library of over 100 titles to choose from. We have a moderate size book library and game collection. Many reference materials are at the home for rock climbing, hiking, sightseeing and other activities.
Paved parking is within 15 feet of the home.
Four of our beds are traditional mattresses while one Queen is a raised futon. (Realize that futons are like a very firm mattress--we love them.)

One bedroom with three people ...... $140/night. All rates assume two day stay.
Two bedrooms with four people ... $190/night. Add only 11% county bed tax/fee.
Three bedrooms with five people .. $240/night. - NO cleaning or Misc. FEES
IF OVER the above stated persons, add $25 per person.
Add one-third to the cost if during holidays or peak season (1.33 X rate).
Add $100 if you need linens changed and home cleaned DURING your stay.
Holiday and Peak rates apply May 1-Sep 30, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
Discount for 7 day or longer rentals. One and two day rentals possible - inquire.

I LOVE Yosemite. I have lived in the home as much as 9 months out of the year. I visit with my wife, daughter, and son, many times every year. We are always finding new places to explore and play in this gigantic park. We can enjoy the great attractions of the park, go out and play hard all day, and sometimes through the night, then retire to our own little neighborhood - with no tourist around. The crowds of the park are not to be found in Yosemite West.
Why the Owner Chose Yosemite National Park
I love to climb and Yosemite has got the rest of the world beat,- Hands down. I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time when I purchased this home in 1997. In the TINY WORLD of Climbing I am well known.- mostly for climbing lots of rock in a small amount of time. see: speedclimb or google my name. Hans Florine. Yosemite is the center of the world for rock climbing. If you can't get enough rock this is heaven on earth. I'm a function over form person. I think I've got everything that you need for a comfortable mountain basecamp stay. go out and play hard and then come back to my home for a well deserved rest.
