Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2003

My wife and I live in another townhome in this 26-unit development. We have enjoyed Lake Superior's North Shore for 20 plus years and value our friendships here, the scenic beauty, the changing moods of the lake, good restaurants and local activities.

Why the Owner Chose Beaver Bay

We owned a weekend home here for 15 plus years and entered into an agreement with a builder to construct these townhomes on our and adjacent property. This enabled us to secure city water and sewer, a major plus on the North Shore, a paved driveway and other advantages.

The Unique Benefits of this Townhome

Taking the path to the ledgerock of the lake; socializing with friends; good local dining; church activities; serving on boards of the bike/walking path association, airport commission, our church and the Windsong owners association; watching the large ore boats come by; viewing wildlife; walking.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We hope for your sake it sells but for our sake it doesn't, as we'd love to come here again. Clock in master BR doesn't work--didn't matter to us as we were on "vacation time." [Owner's note: Clock replaced.]

So far we love the house! It's very beautiful! The Van Gogh painting on the wall and the little red chairs, they are my favorite! Such a quiet house. Hannah, age 18.

This is beautiful. It is the next best thing to being on the ocean and sunrises are beyond compare. Staying here with our son and daughter-in-law and little grandchildren age 2, 5. They loved it. Those little girls spent hours and hours walking the beaches and collecting rocks. They also loved the pool. I agree with everyone else--thank you for the supply of staples--it makes it not only easier but inviting to renters. This is our 2nd year up here on Labor Day weekend. We may need to make it a tradition. Thank for a clean, beautiful stay. Only thing we found: blinds need fixing in 2nd bedroom! [Owners note: Will arrange for repair.]

The beds were wonderful to sleep on and the lake waves soothing to sleep by. This is a lovely condo and we enjoyed ourselves. The toilet roll bracket in the main floor bathroom needs adjustment and the upstairs front bedroom spout in tub needs tightening. [Owner's note: Both items have been repaired.]

The fog rolled in to creep up and in between the rocks on the point to the left of the condo. Pink tones in the sky peeked out from the clouds of fog as the fog rose to completely cover the point--a photographer's dream except for the screens on the upper level. Tree interfered with the view of point from the deck. The decor was cheerful, appropriate and minimalist. The toilet paper roll in lower level needs to be attached better. These two 65+ had a goal--hike 3 waterfalls on zero exercise regimen. Mission accomplished with Advil and ice! Great photos but but the best were from the 3 days of fog on all the points! Beds were great. We liked the deck furniture. Even snoozed in them as the fog horn softly sent its warnings and waves lapped the shore and bits of sun soaked our faces. We really appreciate that there were some staples. We usually stay at Sea Villas in Lutsen and there is nothing in the kitchen sometimes, not even pepper and salt. I hate packing it all in or buying it. The bakery from the country store is fabulous. Ate 3 meals (at Crossings cafe), all outstanding including the thinnest crust I've ever seen on pizza. The Athena (restaurant)beats out DiAmicos! The deck chairs are a problem after rain and fog. Take too long to dry and you get wet sitting in them. Other chairs can be toweled off. [Owner's note: Toilet paper holder was refastened; wasn't aware of it until now.]

Beautiful townhome. Comfortable and what a view! We enjoyed our stay along the North Shore each day at different trails. My tired legs sure loved the Jacuzzi at day's end. Ate a fine dinner at Northern Lights. Toured Grand Marais and hiked Devil's Kettle (near GM). Great trip--things to do and time to relax. Thanks for sharing your townhome with us.
