We had a very pleasant stay. What a lovely condo! Yesterday we went to Silver Bay and went cross-country skiing. There are nice, groomed trails at the edge of town. We had some good meals--Lemon Wolf in Beaver Bay, Northern Lights and a small cafe in Silver Bay shopping center. We especially liked the pecan chicken, tortelloni chicken and wolf trail pie, a chocolate-pecan concoction. Again, we really enjoyed the views, the coziness, the nice furnishings here!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Came north for a college visit in Duluth & couldn't leave the North Shore w/o some winter fun. Went to the candlelight snowshoe at Gooseberry. Awesome! Next day hiked "Day Hill" at Split Rock, came back to town home for lunch, back out to snow shoe Split Rock River trail. Weather was perfect. Wish we could stay longer. Fireplace perfect to warm up. Everything homy & cozy. Thanks for sharing your home. Great fun, great memories. Winona, MNDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It feels so secluded and private, even with so many units. We loved it. The boys loved the trail to the lake and the rocks. We would love to come back. P.S. Thanks for making things so comfortable.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Enjoyed it very much. Thanks for the use of the condo. The views of the lake is great and we enjoyed the hot tub, TV and WiFi. Wish we had made it to the pool. We also loved all the hiking around--Gooseberry Falls, Baptism River and Split Rock. All so beautiful! Also went up to Grand Marais for a day, a lovely drive and a cute town. Great salmon @ Gills in Two Harbors and great food at Blackwoods Grill. I highly recommend the salmon caesar salad. We hope to come again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: My wife and I live in another town home in this 26-unit upscale development; it is our permanent residence. We have enjoyed Lake Superior's North Shore for 25 plus years and value our friendships here, the scenic beauty, the changing moods of the lake, good restaurants and local activities. Half of the owners do not rent but are friendly to renters. We are active in our local Lutheran church.
Why the Owner Chose Beaver Bay:
We owned a weekend home here for 12 years and entered into an agreement with a builder to construct these town homes on our and an adjacent property. This enabled us to secure city water and sewer, a major plus on the North Shore, a paved driveway and other advantages. We are also involved in local community activities. I am currently president of the owners association.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Taking the path to the ledge rock of the lake; good local dining; welcoming churches (protestant and Roman Catholic); watching the large ore boats come by; viewing wildlife; walking.
