  We loved everything about this house. We had our boat parked in front of the home the whole week. We swam, fished, barbequed, used the fire pit, played horse shoes, and so much more thins to name. The house was clean and well kept. The atmosphere that was created in this home was like being in a Disney version of a country house. We have already reserved a week for summer 2013.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  My family and I including our extended family had a great time. We brought our boat and waverunner and docked them infront of the house. We had campfires at night and BBQs during the day. On the rainy day their was plenty of things to do inside the home (Quality Family Time). It was our hopes to return for 2013 but the week our family needed was reserved already. The owner was very friendly and was easy to reach for any questions and also made recomendations to us on where we would have a good time.

  My family and myself rented this property and actually had a very nice week at Lake Wallenpaupak. The landlord was easy to reach and very nice about allowing us to take occupancy a few hours earlier than 4:00 PM. The home is lovely; but unfinished. The air conditioner doesn't work properly (when turned on, the lower floor is freezing and the upper floors (especially top level bedroom) do not get cool. There are no or very small closets in bedrooms. There is very limited parking and the home is not good for small children or elderly adults. The incline is very steep and this is not apparent in the photo's nor were we told this. My Mom could not leave the home as she could not get down the incline. We paid the owner for the use of his boats; but were really unable to use them when we needed them as we did not have the key and were told that someone would come and unlock them. This never happened and by the time we found the key, the younger adults (who were only there for the weekend) had to leave. So we paid extra money for something that was not available to us to use. It took the owner about 35 days to return my security deposit. This home could be very nice if the unfinished projects were completed and things that are broken are fixed. Owner should definitely tell potential renters how steep the incline is and that parking is limited. Also, since the amount of money that is charged for this home is quite high, it should really include the boats as they do not belong to the housekeeping staff as we were told. Lastly, the garbage situation is not good. We ended up cleaning up garbage every day as the animals are able to get the lids off the garbage cans.

  My family came in from the midwest for a weekend together and this house made the trip AMAZING for all. The lake is gorgeous and there is plenty of room for up to 16 people to comfortably co-exist in this house. Everything about the rental was easy and thoughtful. We would definitely rent from this owner again. It would be a pleasure!!!!!

  We just returned from this gorgeous house on the lake and we did not want to leave!! The house is amazing, the view is spectacular, the atmosphere is beyond words! It was a perfect place to relax and get to visit with the family while the kids were happily occupied. I can't say enough nice things about the place. This beautiful, well-furnished house accommodated our three generations comfortably. Plenty of space for two cooks in the kitchen & meals on the lovely deck. Also, great for family games. What an unbelievable property! Looking forward to coming back! Thanks to the owner's for their great communication and allowing us to enjoy their home!! Thank you, The Savo Family
