Location: Blairsville, Northeast Mountains, Georgia, USA (two hours North of Atlanta)

Accommodations:  Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6-8)

This cozy cabin is nestled high off Ivy Log Mountain, just one-and-one-half miles outside the town of Blairsville. The privacy makes it an ideal romantic getaway or honeymoon retreat. If you need a place to chill so you can get an "Altitude Adjustment," this cabin is for you. It truly has the look and feel of a tree house. The interior walls are all natural tongue-and-groove pine, except for the master bedroom. There is a covered back porch with a swing and two rocking chairs that face the long range mountain view. A very large open deck comes off from the porch where the hot tub is located. On cold nights, you can snuggle up to the indoor stone fireplace. Or, if you are up for roasting marshmallows around a campfire, there is a newly renovated area below the deck including a firepit, picnic table, and bench.

There is plenty to do besides "chilling" at the cabin. Lake Nottely is one mile down the road and Lake Chatuge is ten minutes north in Hiawassee. You can take a very scenic drive over to Helen in 30 minutes. Vogel State Park is just 15 minutes south, and offers a variety of activities from paddle boats and miniature golf, to hiking trails and waterfalls. Antiquing, shopping, and golfing at Butternut Golf Course is just down the mountain from the cabin. Within one hour, you can be in the beautiful Nantahala Gorge white-water rafting.

The "Georgia Mountain Fair" happens in August.
The "Sorghum Festival" happens in October, which is PEAK season in the mountains!

    • The cabin was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much!!! However, a $65 cleaning fee should not be required when you ask visitors to do several "chores" before leaving the property.

      Homeowner Response:
The $65 cleaning fee covers spa service, laundry, bathrooms, and floors. Prior to leaving the cabin, we do require our guests to place all wet linens and towels in the bathtub. We ask that the beds used are stripped, all dishes & pans are placed, and all garbage is disposed in the outside trash bin on front porch. :)

    • We had a wonderful stay at your cabin. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, especially the hot tub. It was a treat to sink into it each night after a day of hiking or horseback riding. The privacy of the cabin allows lots of peace and quiet and the surroudings are beautiful. We will definitely recommend it to our friends!
