Confessions can be hard...real hard. But the truth is that I get a little jealous each time I hear what a great time our guests are having at our vacation home!
Our vacation ski home is the finest Durango Mountain Resort has to offer!!! True "ski in/ski out". Luxurious accomodations. A large entertainment loft with a big screen HDTV and a game table. A romantic master suite complete with fireplace and jacuzzi bathtub. And for the kids, their own floor of the house has an oversized bedroom that comfortably sleeps 6 and is equipped with cable TV, DVD, VCR and an X-Box.
Come relax in our newly built vacation dream home located on the slopes of Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort. Just completed in June 2003, you will feel right at home when you walk in the doors of this cozy and relaxing resort getaway. Breathtaking views of the snowcapped surrounding mountain peaks fill the 18 foot high wall of windows that frame the great room and dining room.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
This home gives you easy access to all of the activites of Durango Mountain Resort. We are located at the Elkpoint Townhomes at Durango Mountain Resort. Elkpoint is one of the few properties that is actually on the slopes of the resort. Of course winter is just one of the FOUR best seasons to stay in this vacation dream home. There are great activities available year round at the resort. Also, we are an easy 30 minute drive into Durango.
This custom home was built in 2003 by one of Durango's finest home builders and features the highest quality finishes throughout. There is a hint of romance when you enter the master bedroom. From the cozy oversized "four post" Ralph Lauren bed to the sitting area and fireplace the master suite is a retreat in its own right. The fireplace of the master suite is the perfect accent for a romantic evening or just curling up with a good book. The master bath is truly luxurious, with a large jacuzzi tub and an oversized walk-in shower. A large walk-in closet is adjacent to the master suite.
The second and third bedrooms are very comfortable and each has a queen-size bed. The fourth bedroom is large enough for an entire family to sleep in! As a matter of fact that was our intention when we furnished this room with two seperate bunkbeds and a queen size sofa/sleeper. One of the bunks has a full-size mattress on the bottom so "Mom and Dad" can share this room with the kids. Otherwise, this makes a great place to put all of your young ones.
Comfort is abundant in every feature of this home. From the radiant in-floor heat (your feet will never be cold) to the many oversized sofas. You won't want to leave!
You will absolutely love the great room. While providing plenty of space for your entire group, it is very warm and cozy. This room features an 18 foot fireplace as well as picture frame 18 foot windows to take in the spectacular mountain views.
If this isn't enough, the kitchen is a Gourmet's fantasy with high grade appliances throughout. There is a breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen with a large farm table providing plenty of room for your entire family. To put the finishing touches on this dream home, our professional interior designer made sure that no detail was overlooked. We're sure you'll agree when you "come home" to vacation in our Durango Dream Home.
Relaxing in Beautiful Durango
VRBO Bear stayed here - 09/05/2008 My family and I had a wonderful time at this luxurious home located on the slopes at the Durango Mountain Resort.
As we entered the property for the first time we were absolutely amazed by how spacious and beautifully decorated each and every room was. We fell in love with the great room, which boasts oversized sofas, great for curling up on after a long day of fun-filled activities.
The master bedroom is inviting too, with a fireplace and oversized bed that gives new meaning to a "good night's sleep." The gourmet kitchen was a perfect gathering place with all high end appliances and granite countertops. Everything we needed was right there at our fingertips.
If you are not into skiing, there are lots of other things to do here in the summertime, including rafting in the Animas River, horseback riding, hiking and the alpine slide.
Mesa Verde National Park, is only about a 45 minute drive from the house or you can catch the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad just off Main Avenue in Durango and be there in about 25 minutes.
