Welcome to the Elkpoint Mountain Townhome #5. This true ski-in/ski-out luxury townhome is the finest Durango Mountain Resort has to offer. Come relax in this vacation dream home located on the slopes of Durango Mountain Resort. You will feel right at home when you walk in the doors of this cozy and relaxing resort getaway. Breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountain peaks fill the windows that frame the great room. This home gives you easy access to all of the activities of Durango Mountain Resort. Elkpoint is one of the few properties located on the actual slopes of the resort. There are great activities available year round and the home is an easy 30 minute drive into Durango.
This custom home was built in 2003 and features the highest quality finishes throughout. Located on the main floor is the fantastic guest suite. Large enough for the entire family to sleep in, this spacious room has two separate bunk beds and a queen size sofa sleeper. One of the bunks has a full-size mattress on the bottom so "Mom and Dad" can share this room with the kids. Otherwise, this makes a great place to put all of your young ones. This room features its own private bath and is equipped with a TV. You can walk right out the door of this room and onto the slopes or over to the mountain village.
There is a hint of romance when you enter the master bedroom, a retreat in its own right. The fireplace of the master suite is the perfect accent for a romantic evening or just curling up with a good book. The master bath is truly luxurious, with a large jetted tub and an over-sized walk-in shower. A large walk-in closet is adjacent to the master suite. You can also enjoy the fresh mountain air from your private balcony. This home is perfect for families with small children, and has its own high chair, baby gate, and baby play items available.
The great room provides plenty of space for your entire group, and it is very warm and cozy. This room features an 18 foot fireplace as well as picture frame 18 foot windows to take in the spectacular mountain views. A queen sofa sleeper provides additional sleeping options. If that isn't enough, the kitchen is a gourmet's fantasy with high grade appliances throughout. There is a breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen with a large farm table providing plenty of room for your entire family. A small half bath is located on this floor as well.
The second and third bedrooms are very comfortable. Each has a queen-size bed and share a bath and adjoining balcony. There is a large sectional with queen sofa sleeper in the loft, as well as another dining table with seating for 6, and a big screen TV.
As guests of The Elkpoint Mountain Townhome you will have access to the private club at Purgatory Lodge. Imagine the fun the kids will have in the outdoor heated swimming pool with water slides. If you didn't get enough of a workout on the slopes, enjoy a state of the art workout room, or the outdoor resistance pool. Take a soak in the outdoor hot tub or get a massage at the fabulous day spa. Just up the stairs is the big fireplace where you can enjoy a cocktail or meal and watch the skiers come down the slopes. In summer the outdoor deck is a perfect place to enjoy the near perfect weather of the Rockies while waiting for one of many summer time concerts to start in the big tent.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this luxurious home located on the slopes at the Durango Mountain Resort.
As we entered the property for the first time we were absolutely amazed by how spacious and beautifully decorated each and every room was. We fell in love with the great room, which boasts oversized sofas, great for curling up on after a long day of fun-filled activities.
The master bedroom is inviting too, with a fireplace and oversized bed that gives new meaning to a "good night's sleep." The gourmet kitchen was a perfect gathering place with all high end appliances and granite countertops. Everything we needed was right there at our fingertips.
If you are not into skiing, there are lots of other things to do here in the summertime, including rafting in the Animas River, horseback riding, hiking and the alpine slide.
Mesa Verde National Park, is only about a 45 minute drive from the house or you can catch the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad just off Main Avenue in Durango and be there in about 25 minutes.
If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in any season....come to Durango and enjoy its many splendors.

We appreciate all of the extras you provided in the bathrooms. We love the size of the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with many extras we didn't anticipate. The gas grill was a bonus. The location was perfect, central to everything. This was our first time visiting and had we have known it was going to be this much fun we would have booked longer. We anticipate a return next summer (at least one week). Jenna, Gwen, and Kevin are the best! Thank you for your promptness in helping us with any concern we had. You all made our time here enjoyable. We brought the Olathe Lady Pirates basketball team for a camp in the area. I worked with both Gwen and Jenna. They made it so easy so we didn't have to worry about anything but getting there. They are WONDERFUL. And the condo was exactly as described. It was beautiful. The girls are already planning next years trip! It was also a great trip for our senior girls. Thank you so much!!

Came to enjoy beautiful Durango, what a treat. We love it here. This was our first time staying at Elkpoint and we sure had a good time. Love the easy slope access and the views from the patio are amazing! We could actually wave to our group on the lifts as they went by the house. We hope to come back again next year.

Great home, great views! We had a wonderful time in Durango and at the resort. There was tons to do and ski school for the kids was great. This home was very family friendly(we had a 10 month old with us) and the room downstairs for the kids was so nice. Really neat to be able to access the ski slopes so easily from the home, especially with kids it was nice not to have to go far with all our gear. We will be back again!

This home was incredible. Our family loved being able to walk right to the slopes from our downstairs room! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and enjoy a great ski vacation. The home was lovely and had everything we needed for being such a large group. We will definitely come back to Elkpoint for our next Durango ski trip!
