New three bedroom + loft/3 bathroom townhouse located in the world famous Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii's prestigious Kohala Coast. The Mauna Lani Palm Villas is a small gated complex located on the 17th fairway in the heart of the resort with its own waterfall pool, hot tub, and fitness center.
Additional resort facilities are within a short walk of our front door including two championship golf courses, miles of beachfront with a private beach club, a world famous spa and fitness center with an Olympic pool, a tennis center, shops, and restaurants. The Mauna Lani Resort includes miles of hiking/biking trails through ancient Hawaiian fish ponds making it perfect for walkers and joggers. The new Shops at Mauna Lani features island boutiques, fine dining, Starbucks, a gourmet full service supermarket, and free entertainment.
Rent a car and explore the island including Kilauea Volcano, waterfalls, rainforests, horse ranches, and the historic towns of Kona and Hilo. Go deep sea fishing for marlin. Take a helicopter ride over the volcano from the nearby heliport.
Enjoy the Big Island's beaches. They come in all different colors: white, black, green, salt and pepper. Scuba, snorkel, surf, or boogie board. Watch the whales play in the ocean. Let yourself kick back and enjoy the sun and sand. You or your children can even swim with Dolphins at the nearby Dolphin Qwest or snorkel/scuba with Manta Rays.
Our condo is fully stocked and ready for your arrival. It sleeps 8 comfortably so you can bring the kids and Grandma and Grandpa or six of your best friends. The master bedroom has a king sized bed. Bedroom #2 has a full sized bed and bedroom #3 has two twins. The loft has a full size futton. Each bedroom has its own private bath.
Rental includes all linens, dishes, pots and pans, and beach toys (boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, mats, cooler). We have high speed internet and unlimited long distance so you can stay in contact with the office or family on the mainland. Each bedroom has a TV with built in DVD player. The Living Room has a home theater. Bring your favorite CDs and DVDs and/or IPod.
You can begin your day sipping Kona coffee on your private, covered lanai off the Master suite. Then, after a day of sightseeing, golfing, or swimming, relax in the condo. Use the brand new stainless steel kitchen or outdoor propane barbecue grill with built in wet bar to cook your steak. Sip your wine on the back lanai overlooking the pool and gardens. Watch the sunset. Soak in the hot tub. Enjoy the peace and quiet of your home away from home. You will know you are in Paradise.

Why the Owner Chose Palm Villas
We started coming to the Big Island in 1999. We were living on a mountaintop in Colorado at 10,500 elevation and needed to escape 5 feet of snow a week in April when the rest of the country was enjoying spring. Our first visit was for 2 weeks. We found that Hawaii was addicting. Currently, we spend about 8 months a year on the Big Island.

We fell in love with the natural beauty of the Mauna Lani Resort. It's a place to forget about work and just relax. We scuba at the Beach Club. We golf on the 2 championship golf courses. We love walking around the fish ponds and reading about the history of Mauna Lani. The restaurants are wonderful. We enjoy watching the whales and all of the ocean life. Knowing that Mauna Lana is an eco friendly resort that cares about the environment is important to us. We find the location of the Palm Villas to be ideal since we can walk anywhere in the resort.

This was our best VRBO experience to date! The condo is spacious, spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The grounds are gorgeous and the location central to everything on the Kona side of the island. You have provided all the comforts of home in the setting of a fine resort. What more could a family want or need! The outdoor kitchen was a great feature & the private beach was lovely--we will definitely be planning a return trip! Thanks Trude & Scott!

We rented this condo for a week in August. The amenities are as advertised and the location is great. However, and this is a very big however, they will not let you set the air conditioning to the temperature you wish. The AC unit is set at a very high temperature and locked so you cannot lower it. This was not disclosed until AFTER we paid for our rental IN FULL and after we paid a large electricity surcharge -- for a week's rental.. Arguably, this seems like an example of bait and switch to us. After much perseverance with emails and phone calls over 2 1/2 days, the owners finally relented and the handyman climbed into the attic and removed the lock from the system. After that, the rest of our week was comfortable and fun.

This is our second visit to the Palm Villas and our first to this great home. It was lovely! The polo wad great to have after a day Of sun and volcanoes. Mauna Lani is about 2.5 hours from volcano national park, 1.5 from HIlo and 35-45 from Kona. The beaches on this side are simply the best. Hapuna is awesome and it's about 10 mins away. The mauna Lani resort beach has great amenities and the smirk ing is pretty good if you have kids that are 8 and 10 and aren't ready to scuba. The owners were helpful and addressed the air conditionig concern as best the could. For me, a hot blooded Miami girl, the home was too hot. Ir would hover at about 78 or 80 during the day. At night it would go down to about 76. Too hot for me especially downstairs. BUT, they did try to fix the problem and I just felt bad continuing to harass about the heat so I didn't call again. That didn't take away fromhow awesome the home is and how well appointed the kitchen was. I loved that they had beach chairs, fins and goggles, noodles, beach towels, blow dryer, shampoo, body cream, and the washer and dryer made light packing possible. Would I stay here again??!??? 100% for sure.

We just returned from eight days in Trude and Scott's lovely Palm Villas townhome. This was a return visit, as we were last there in late 2007. The condo is even nicer than before, with fresh paint, more beach toys and a very well stocked pantry. The gounds seem prettier and more lush, too. Our family of four had plenty of room and really enjoyed the easy access to the pool at the complex and the Beach Club. We look forward to coming back, hopefully soon.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The description was accurate, the place was immaculate and well stocked with extra sheets/towels/ beach equipment and the location is terrific. The beach associated with Mauna Lani is beautiful and a great place for kids to snorkle. The owners are easy to work with and very helpful.

We loved every minute of our stay in this spacious, pristine and elegant townhouse. It was within walking distance of beach, stores and the Mauna Lani resort, and only steps from the Mauna Lani spa. The twonhouse is part of Palm Villas, a small, peaceful gated community, comprising a quiet and well-kept tropical garden with a very nice pool and hot tub. We especially appreciated the luxury propane grill on the lanai and the closed full of beach mats, boogie boards and snorkelling equipment. We will definitely be back!

The condo is well appointed and very spacious. The pool is fabulous and never too busy. Great for kids. The grounds are beautiful. Short walk to excellent beaches. The condo has great extras including beach towels and beach toys. The outdoor grill is a huge plus. We cannot wait to return to the Big Island.
