  Recently returned from a 2 week stay in this condo and had a wonderful time. This was actually our 2nd time on the island and we've stayed at the Waipouli Beach Resort both times. The resort is fabulous and all the condos are nice. If you've never stayed at this resort before, you cant go wrong. Luxury condos with a killer pool and hottubs and all the shopping you'll need for your stay located just across the street. The resort is centrally located and make an excellent home-base for island exploring. Once you're there, you'll see the location of the unit within the resort, the view, and the furnishings are the big differentiators between the condos. I have to say, I highly recommend Gary's condo. Location-wise, this unit is convenient to the pool and grills and parking ...yet it also has a great deal of privacy and is quiet. The furnishings are tasteful. The bed is to die for...very comfy. Nice sized tv's in the living room and bedroom. And there are a couple of beach chairs and boogie boards in the laundry room that came in handy and we didnt have to buy or rent them. The only thing this condo lacks is an ocean view...which we didnt mind at all. We spent our days hitting beautiful beaches all over the island, so no point in paying double to see another one when we got home in the evening. We just did happy hour in the hottub instead. We'll definitely be back to the Island in the next couple of years, and when we do, we'll definitely be staying in Gary's condo again!

  We recently stayed in this amazing condo for our honeymoon. We were there for 10 nights and did not want to leave. The condo is beautiful and as other reviewers described, the pictures do not do it justice....and the pictures are really nice! Everything is state of the art and impeccable. The condo was very clean and well maintained. Gary is wonderful to work with and so responsive. We only had one minor issue with the AC when we arrived, because the resort itself had reset the roof units that day. Someone responded immediately to our call and was able to reset it and worked fine. We loved the resort and pool. There are a lot of families who seem to stay here, but this did not bother us at all. We loved the location of the resort. The Safeway across the street is so convenient and we liked being centrally located between the north and south of the island. (Definitely go to tunnels beach to snorkel and kayak with Wailua River Tours...go in the morning and get Annie, she's awesome...we set everything up through Snorkel Bobs including our snorkel rentals. They were great.) The location of the condo itself in the resort is really nice. It doesn't have an ocean view, but we loved looking outside at the lovely Hawaiian plants or sitting out on the little veranda. It's really close to the parking lot which makes loading and unloading easy, but you can't really see the parking lot from the unit, so it's like the best of both worlds. It's also really close to the pool and beach access. For the price, you cannot beat it. We would go back and stay there in a heartbeat! Wonderful condo and owner!!

• Perfect Condo

  My wife and I came to Kauai after 5 busy days on Waikiki Beach and this was the perfect place to relax and explore the island. The condo and resort are exactly as pictured and is absolutely gorgeous. Being in a central location is ideal, allowing easy exploring of the South, West and North shores. There is a grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants just across the street from the resort- everything is conveniently located. The on-site restaurant is excellent- try to go on a Wednesday night because there is an awesome band that plays from 4-6PM (we bought their CD). The night we were there, the crowd convinced them to play for an extra hour or more. We also really enjoyed the pool at the resort, which included waterfalls and water slides. The sand-bottomed hot tubs were fantastic, as well. All in all, this is a perfect condo and resort in a perfect location. We wholeheartedly recommend renting this condo. Gary was great to work with, and we cannot thank him enough for everything. We hope to be back some day!

  My husband and I went on our much anticipated honeymoon in early May and had the most wonderful time! The condo was beautiful, better than the description and photos. It was very clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed. We were hardly tempted to go out to eat because we had so much fun cooking in the fantastic kitchen! The beach is just a few steps from any of the rooms, and we pretty much had it to ourselves. One of our favorite things was the glorious pool! We spent many hours lounging by the poolside, and floating down the "river". We didn't have any kids, but it is a very kid-friendly place, and would love to in the future. There are many activities and adventures that are not far from the resort; we loved rafting down water tunnels in a sugar plantation, and kayaking up a river. Our favorite thing was the abundance of stunning hikes. We wish we had had more time! Before leaving we were already planning our anniversary trip back to Waipouli, and would definitely recommend this condo to our family and friends!

  My wife and I just returned from our first trip to Kauai and had an amazing time. There is too much good stuff to talk about on the island itself. This VRBO is in a fabulous resort with excellent location. The condo itself it very comfortable and has a little cooler and two beach chairs: the chairs are worth mentioning since it saves rental cost and they are very easy to transport from beach to beach because they have backpack straps. I loved having ground floor access near the car, it made life easy and nights were quiet. The pool and hottubs are very fun when you need a break from the beach. We did not eat at the resort restaurant, but drinks during happy hour are highly recommended (and the food looked amazing). [I will mention the Fish Express in Li'hue and Mermaid Cafe in Kapa'a were two of the best meals we ate (both about $9 a plate!).] The owner of this condo is responsive and we have no complaints about the place or the owner- both very great experiences.

  This was our first time booking accommodations privately and we were a little nervous, but no need to be! The owner was so easy to deal with and the property was perfect. The location was very easily accessed from the parking lot and was very quiet. The unit itself was very clean and had everything we needed and more! Loved the beach chairs and cooler! The location of Waipouli is perfect as we spent time at the canyon and at Hanalei. The canyon was amazing, we loved snorkeling at Poipu Beach, bouncing in the waves at Brennecke's Beach and hanging out at Hanalei Bay Beach. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone going to Kauai, it was great. Thank you Gary!
