Villa Liana is situated in a unique position, as it stands on the western bank of Lake Maggiore from which you can also contemplate the beauty of the Piedmontese Alps, including the famous Monte Rosa, the second highest peak of Europe. The service offered at Villa Liana is mainly one of bed and breakfast that is available year round. For this service, two rooms with two beds each and one shared bathroom are available. During certain periods of the year (mainly during the spring and the summer) it is possible to rent the whole property on a weekly basis.
Italian lessons are offered by the host Luisa Valenziani who lives in Villa Liana with her husband,Edoardo Lanfranchi and who has taught italian and english her whole life, also at the New York University. Both are incredible cooks and experts on local products and will be happy to provide a dinner service for a small additional fee. Breakfast is, naturally, included, and you can enjoy it either in the dining room, terrace, patio or garden.
One of Villa Liana's beauties is her garden, which is at its top splendor during the spring. Its palm trees provide shady, quiet spots during the summer, and it also numerous fruits and vegetables growing. Swimming and water sports are only half a mile away and ski slopes during the winter season are twenty minutes away by car or by cable car from Stresa.
Villa Liana is situated between the two well known towns of Arona and Stresa which offer a variety of restaurants, bars, shops, movie theatres, clubs and various other local attractions. To many the name of Stresa may ring a bell as it was one of Earnest Hemingway's favourite romantic spots in Italy. |
