Our home is located on the East End of the Island, within walking distance of the Gulf, and connects to a golf course. Also, the Bay Beach is a 5 minute drive. It has a wonderful view of a pond and is on stilts so parking is in the shade! It has two porches, 2 bedrooms (3 if you count our Murphy Bed) and 2 sleep sofas!
Breezes waft through the house! We are within walking distance of great restaurants, and particularly The Lazy Flamingo, the very best one. Also you can walk to Beachview Tennis/Golf Resort. The Recreation Center is nearby and has 2 pools and a childrens' water play area, as well as tennis, an exercise room, etc.
Sanibel Island has 31 miles of paved bicycle/walk paths - bikes may be rented for a small fee. Our Federal Park : Ding Darling, is the most visited park of all the Federal parks! Shells abide on the shore - low tide is the best!
Everything is ready for you! May thru December open. Only monthly rentals are allowed.

We own A Slice of Home B&B in Ithaca, NY, in the center of the Finger Lakes Winery District and are there from May 1 to December 27th. We love running our B&B and like to assist our guests with our 23 years of knowledge of the area ... so they can find the best gorges, waterfalls, wineries, restaurants. Our B&B allows us to come to Sanibel in the winter and we are here from January 1 to the end of April. We would be pleased to have your share our "Cottage by the Gulf". Bea and Sterling
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Bea's first trip to Sanibel was in 1955 when she was a teen. There was a ferry and most of the roads were made of SAND. The beaches were all white sand with loads of shells, and about 3 motels. Her Godfather found Sanibel in the late 40's and a visit to him on Paradise was never
forgotten. She returned when she could - unbelievable peace!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love just sitting in the sun or under the umbrella on the beach or the porch, enjoying the breeze. The 31 miles of paved bike paths afford unbelievable biking which is something we do regularly, and a trip to the pool for a few laps happens 3-4 times a week. There are no traffic lights and the speed limit is 35, so the pace of life is SLOW!

It gets harder to leave every year and this year is no exception. We missed the back yard "critters" this year - the inquana was probably hiding because it was cool. I discovered Sanibel Yoga at the Rec Center and went 4 times a week. It waswonderful. Mark did lots of fishing, I did lots of reading on the porch. The improvements you've made this past year are great - love the outside shower!

We really had a wonderful month in Paradies. Your place was like staying in the tropics! We got in in the dark and were shocked when we woke up to see an orange, grapefruit and lemon tree with fruit! Your home is so cofmortable and well stocked - everything is here. There was a mix of the weather, but there is so much to do here - craft shows, visiting the Rec Center, biking, walking on the Gulf. Again, thanks for a wonderful month - wewon't forget it ans hope to return. The rest was what my husband needed to heal after his rotator cup surgery!
