Nestled in spruce and aspen trees, this cozy log home is perfect for your summer getaway. It is secluded, yet very accessible year round. Every window in the house has a beautiful view of the 14,000 foot mountains surrounding Lake City. Relax on the back porch that runs the length of the house while listening to the roar of the Argenta Falls waterfall off the back of the property.
The quaint town of Lake City is only four miles away, while beautiful Lake San Cristobal is within walking distance of only 1/2 miles. Public fishing is plentiful around Lake City if you want to fish for trout in the streams or lake. We have easy access to the Alpine Loop and you can drive straight from our house on your ATVs.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms and one bath with an open floor plan upstairs, plus a mother-in-law efficiency apartment downstairs. Each level is complete with a bath, full kitchen and washer/dryer.

The mountains have been a part of our entire married life. Gail vacationed always in Colorado as a child growing up and still remembers trips that were made by her family in Lake City. After renting for several years, we finally "stumbled upon" our lovely cabin at Argenta Falls. We absolutely love the peace and solitude as well as the beauty. Being so close to the Falls makes sitting on the back porch serene, and a walk to Lake San Cristobal gives us the opportunity to view one of the most beautiful lakes in Colorado. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home for our vacation! It was absolutely perfect! After 20 some odd years of staying in vacation homes, your home was by far the best! It was so cozy and comfortable! You can tell how much it is cared for by its welcoming appearance and beauty. The hanging baskets and the humming bird feeders and the wonderful porch make a relaxing atmosphere. The roar of the falls are so relaxing and make a perfect setting. Your home made our vacation stay great! We hope we are able to stay here again!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We were thrilled with the location, cleanliness,and the attention to detail to make our stay so relaxing. It was ALL we expected from your description PLUS! We rode our Atv's, went for a breakfast horseback ride, and the kids and grandkids enjoyed fishing in the lake. Also, checkers on the deck was a hit when grandpa had to rest up from to much activity....:). The waterfall sang us to sleep everynight. Already planning a trip back next year. Thanks again!

We just returned from Lake City Colorado where we stayed at the "Cozy Cabin in the Woods". This is the perfect vacation for families with older children or adults. The minute we walked into the cabin we felt instantly at home. The view of the mountains and pine trees from the back porch is fantastic! We went horseback riding, fly fishing, rode the ATV trails and took a watercolor painting class all just minutes from the cabin. I would definitely recommend this wonderful vacation home!

My family and I rented this cabin for Memorial Day weekend '07 and it was wonderful! The cabin was so nice. Clean and SO cozy! The views from the cabin were just amazing and it was so nice being able to walk to the lake. It was very hard coming home to our busy schedules. We would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you for letting us stay and we hope to return next year!
