Located at the end of a private gravel road and only 50 minutes from San Francisco and 5 minutes to the historic downtown Sonoma Plaza.
This 2800 square foot retreat features a large cathedral ceiling living room with loft, dining room with extra large captain's table suitable for 10-12 to dine comfortably , fully equipped country style kitchen with new Bosch 5 burner gas range top and double convection oven, den with Comcast Cable TV and high speed internet access for your wireless or nonwireless laptop/computer, 5 bedrooms plus loft and 2 full bathrooms. The master suite has a Cal-King bed with 3" foam topper, three bedrooms have queen beds, the fifth bedroom has twin beds, and the loft has a full size futon bed. The living room has comfortable seating for eight and includes state of the art stereo/DVD Mp3 hookup as well as a classic upright piano.
This estate boasts a well lit professionally landscaped surroundings with plenty of parking around the large circular paved driveway. The front of the house is anchored by a large palm tree while the backyard and flagstone patio is graciously protected from the sun by an enormous ,sprawling California Valley oak tree. The patio is complete with Weber charcoal grills, Adirondack and Sky chairs, dining table with chairs and umbrella, Screened gazebo with wicker love seat and chairs flanked by outside speakers.

Beautiful home - thank you for opening it up to my wonderful friends and I. We traveled from Ohio for a weekend to enjoy the beautiful area, learn about wine, and celebrate my upcoming wedding. We very much enjoyed this house - it was the perfect location for touring th various wineries, going out to eat and general sightseeing. Purvis family gathering... Arrived from Tacoma, San Francisco, Portland, LA, and Clio, CA. Perfect home for the grandparents, kids, and grand kids to kick back and enjoy each others company. About the owner: I am originally from Massachusetts and moved to California 25 years ago. I am a local dentist (Prosthodontist) and have two offices in the towns of Sonoma and Napa. Most weekends I can be found either skiing, motorcycling, or playing tennis. My east coast roots shine brightly as I am a "die-hard" ice hockey enthusiast.
Why the Owner Chose Sonoma:
My professional life as a dentist brought me to the Sonoma/Napa Valleys 20 years ago. I was fortunate to have purchased this idyllic location in 1995 and raise my two daughters here until it was time for them to attend high school in Marin County. It made sense to move closer to their schools and 3 years ago we made the move to Marin.

My Sonoma home remains very much the same as it was when we lived there and thus you should experience a very "lived in, homey" feeling while relaxing in our home.
