'Casa Capannina' is a cozy, very romantic semi-attached 2bedroom/2 bathroom (shower/WC) cottage with large living-room (open fire place, satelite tv, dvd player, wifi internet) and well-equipped kitchen. It represents the perfect accommodation for a small family or 2 couples travelling together.
Its extended sunny terrace, accessed by large window doors from the livingroom as well as kitchen area runs along the whole house front. The cottage is set a bit aside from the other farmhouses thus guaranteeing maximum privacy.
Like all of our other 4 accommodations also "La Capannina" - has a rustic, typical Chianti countrystyle flair which is enhanced by its handpainted walls (warm colours in shades of yellow and orange)and beam sealings. Its access is by private road (with private parking). Since only 2 steps lead to the house, or down the livingroom to the kitchen and since the groundfloor bedroom is also without steps this house may also be considered partly suitable for slightly handicapped people
Sitting on your terrace looking at the sunrise in absulute privacy and peace will make your dream of a vacation in the typical rustic Tuscan countryside come true
Poderi Val Verde with its various farmhouse accommodations is situated only 2 kilometres from the famous wine town Castellina in Chianti with shopping facilities and restaurants. Other famous towns and cities such as Florence, Siena, Greve, Radda, Gaiole, as well as San Gimignano, Lucca, Pistoia, Arezzo are only a one hour away.
If you drive a bit more, you will find Cortona, Perugia or Pisa; even day trips by train or car to Rome, Milano or Venice are possible. In this small family style hamlet our sophisticated guests will find undisturbed and unspoiled nature, silence, sun, good food (cookery courses) fantastic wines and lots of peace.
Set in the middle of extened well cared gardens with hundreds of flowers, pots with lemon and orange trees lies the large swimming pool (11 x 5.5 meters), set aside the children's playground and sports facilities.

Why the Owner Chose Castellina in Chianti
Was infected with the "Tusan virus" after my first visit (like so many others) some 30 years ago and after various vacations decided to finally settle in the heart of Tuscany - the Chianti Classico" area. Here I found everything I ever longed for - nature, peace, clean air, good food and fantastic wines and culture of the highest level. After some years I decided to share my experiences (also cooking) with guest from all over the world and opened a rental activity.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
there are few places that are so central to everything, and offer so much - located only 500 m from the main road but in absolute silence of the surrounding nature (the only nature preserve area in the Siena region) - you are closed to most important sights and places of Tuscany - 5 min to the next town, so social contacts are guaranteed - less then 1 hours from the next major airport (Florence) so getting here is no problem - fantastic marked trekking trails starting from your doorstep (stunning nature in winter or spring) , biking of the finest (on the tracks of the Giro d'Italia, golfing with the elite, or simply enjoying a glass of wine, some pecorino cheese on your personal patio, watching deer and wild boar pass by, Tuscan eagles soaring above this magnificant privately owned valley - what can one ask more for
