This custom built fully air conditioned home will be the perfect Cape Cod vacation rental for families and groups of all ages with lovely views of rolling hillside and wetlands; sleeping accommodations for 8. Peaceful and idyllic setting on 5 acre estate setting, just one mile to Orleans center, convenient to beaches, ponds, shopping, and sights. Renters at Hillside House also are invited to use the heated swimming pool at the main house through the third week of September.
The main floor contemporary open floor plan has a large living room, with expansive bay window w/window seat overlooking the views, gas fireplace, large LCD TV/DVD/VCR/Stereo,built in sound system, WIFI, slider to deck that's perfect for cocktails and dining. The Dining Room seats 8; island seating with granite counter makes it perfect for 12. Fully furnished designer kitchen, with large pantry has granite counters, cherry cabinets, and stainless appliances. Gas grill outside the kitchen door on the deck for memorable summer barbecues.
Lovely large master bedroom with king bed, designer bath, and french doors to second main floor deck.
Each of the charming second floor bedrooms has private bath, queen bed as well as twin daybed. Library/Game room has plenty of books, board games, poker table and LCD TV. Small deck is perfect for reading, cocktails or just enjoying the view.
For those who have difficulty with stairs there is even an Elevator from the garage to the main floor.

Why the Owner Chose Orleans
The rental home is a custom home we built for ourselves in 2007, and we plan that it will be our retirement home, with all amenities including the capacity for one floor living and an elevator for easy access to the garage from main floor.

We live on the Cape year round and enjoy kayaking, the beach, birdwatching, hiking, theater, wonderful restaurants, and cultural activities.
Owner's Map of Orleans
The owners of this property, Page McMahan and Will Joy, have lived on Cape Cod for a combined total of 80+ years; we love this special place and enjoy making our future retirement home available for families and their friends to have a special Cape Cod vacation. Will is a retired civil engineer, and Page has worked in health and professional service administration, and recently retired from hosting our home based bed and breakfast for 20 years. We love enjoying the outdoors; Page is an avid gardener.
