  As a Hospitality professional with high expectations, words cannot properly describe the experience of The Elijah Stephens Roadhouse, Ron, Michael, and the overall escape. Every detail has been well thought and orchestrated to perfection. The Roadhouse was welcoming, immaculate, and much more than expected. With the water steps away, the seclusion of The Roadhouse provided relaxation and serenity; interupted only by the occasional rooster or goat. :) What Ron and Michael have created with these rentals is to be commended - and a secret worth sharing. Gracious hosts welcome you to their home and allow you to feel at home. Thank you both for the experience...we look forward to a return visit. The crazy sisters

  Awesome place that was plenty roomy for 6 adults and 7 kids. The owners and their staff were SPECTACULAR to work with! Friendly, accommodating, plenty of amenities throughout the house and numerous items (including farm fresh eggs) stocked in the fridge. We had a great time.

  Just came home from a long weekend at the Roadhouse with family,friends and tons of kids. We absolutley loved loved loved it! Beautiful spot on the lake. Great cove for the kids to swim,kayak,explore. From the farm fresh eggs,to the impeccabley well maintained home and grounds this place is a keeper!   Guys, I can't express how thrilled I am that The Roadhouse, The Hideaway and The Outpost were available for our big birthday celebration. It couldn't have been a better setting. Plenty of privacy but everyone just yards away. The places were spotless and every amenity we could have needed was provided. The photos don't do it justice! Sheets and towels are extremely nice as well as the mattresses. Freshly ground coffee and those eggs...hard to break them to cook because they are so beautiful! Extras like a new boat house with a lift, volleyball court and outdoor fire pit (w/ smore's), ducks, blue herons, roosters, bass jumping in the cove, and the occasional petting of a baby goat! What a wonderful time. It will remain a sweet memory until we get back! Thank you again.

  What a perfect place for a management retreat. The informal (but beautifully appointed) homes made our conversations productive and fun. There wasn't a thing missing. We planned and strategized, cooked, watched the sunsets, built fires...an outstanding place to build a team and relax. It was a great get away for our team and we will be back!

  Ron, I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for your very gracious hospitality. Our family very much enjoyed our visit to Cedar Creek Lake and your warm welcome and kindness was such a pivotal part of our time. The eggs were delicious, the new waffle maker worked fabulously, and the home was just that.... a home away from home. We drank of every experience... kayaking, volleyball, board game night, time on the lake in sea doos, tubing behind a boat, feeding the pygmy goats and just chilling. You and your partner have truly made a wonderful get a way for people. You were so very considerate of every need and possible perceived needs. From the morning fresh laid eggs and gourmet coffee..... to the late night snacks of smore fixin's, we were well cared for. I do hope that you guys continue to enjoy this venture and be successful.

  When you think about a week-end at the lake, you can do no better than the Roadhouse. Of course, you get a lake in your front yard with kayaks and canoes at your disposal. Of course, there is a firepit and firewood and outdoor yard games set up too (horseshoes anyone?) But when you step inside this beautifully appointed fully furnished state of the art home you must wonder if you're really at the lake. Elegant dinnerware (not the usual aluminum cheap stuff), weighty silverware and actual glass stemware make you think you're at a 5 star resort. Your hosts supply essential supplies likes'mores fixins (with classic Hersheys and gourmet chocolate to go with the graham crackers), fresh eggs (from the chickens next door), fresh organic coffee and more kitchen appliances than a Williams Sonoma catalog. (We loved the panini maker.) Once you leave the spacious kitchen, you can enjoy the satellite TV/music with surround sound or sink into one of the 3 glorious comfy beds including a king bed in the sleeping loft. Every bedroom has a great TV. I never expected to feel so pampered. I would definitely go back and would certainly recommend this to my closest friends and family. So check it out!

  We just returned from a weekend birthday party at the Roadhouse... We were just guests of the folks who rented, but we'll be back on our own for sure. Very impressive! Nestled in a neat cove... It's modern, elegant and well-appointed. Lots of room to roam the property, relax on the porch and grill under the pergola.
