Why the Owner Chose Cedar Creek Lake
We searched the lake for over a year to find the perfect location for our own vacation home. The top priorities for us were privacy and a sense of seclusion.....we simply did not want to look out and see 10 boathouses or stare at a bank of homes and neighbors across a cove. We also wanted a firm, sandy swimming area, protection from the heavy boat traffic and choppiness of wide open water, but we wanted a open water view. As nature lovers, we also wanted to be nestled in a wooded setting for shade, wildlife and natural beauty.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We made the decision to focus on providing our guests with a little something extra when staying with us.....from high quality linens (Freshly pressed!), to farm fresh eggs from our own laying hens, we work to "surprise and delight" each guest on each visit. Whether it's a new furnishing, art or antique, we strive to keep our homes crisp and updated with constant imrovements. Repeat visitors and referrals from previous guests are the mainstay of our business. We're told our homes "feel like home"....and are just as "fresh and clean as the first visit"....this tells us we are doing something right!

What a perfect place for a management retreat. The informal (but beautifully appointed) homes made our conversations productive and fun. There wasn't a thing missing. We planned and strategized, cooked, watched the sunsets, built fires...an outstanding place to build a team and relax. It was a great get away for our team and we will be back!

Ron, I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for your very gracious hospitality. Our family very much enjoyed our visit to Cedar Creek Lake and your warm welcome and kindness was such a pivotal part of our time. The eggs were delicious, the new waffle maker worked fabulously, and the home was just that.... a home away from home. We drank of every experience... kayaking, volleyball, board game night, time on the lake in sea doos, tubing behind a boat, feeding the pygmy goats and just chilling. You and your partner have truly made a wonderful get a way for people. You were so very considerate of every need and possible perceived needs. From the morning fresh laid eggs and gourmet coffee..... to the late night snacks of smore fixin's, we were well cared for. I do hope that you guys continue to enjoy this venture and be successful.

When you think about a week-end at the lake, you can do no better than the Roadhouse. Of course, you get a lake in your front yard with kayaks and canoes at your disposal. Of course, there is a firepit and firewood and outdoor yard games set up too (horseshoes anyone?) But when you step inside this beautifully appointed fully furnished state of the art home you must wonder if you're really at the lake. Elegant dinnerware (not the usual aluminum cheap stuff), weighty silverware and actual glass stemware make you think you're at a 5 star resort. Your hosts supply essential supplies likes'mores fixins (with classic Hersheys and gourmet chocolate to go with the graham crackers), fresh eggs (from the chickens next door), fresh organic coffee and more kitchen appliances than a Williams Sonoma catalog. (We loved the panini maker.) Once you leave the spacious kitchen, you can enjoy the satellite TV/music with surround sound or sink into one of the 3 glorious comfy beds including a king bed in the sleeping loft. Every bedroom has a great TV. I never expected to feel so pampered. I would definitely go back and would certainly recommend this to my closest friends and family. So check it out!

We just returned from a weekend birthday party at the Roadhouse... We were just guests of the folks who rented, but we'll be back on our own for sure. Very impressive! Nestled in a neat cove... It's modern, elegant and well-appointed. Lots of room to roam the property, relax on the porch and grill under the pergola.

What a fantastic way to spend time at the lake! Ron and Michael have created one of the best weekend lake environments that I have ever vistited. The house is breathtakingly charming and extremely well appointed with state of the art audio/visual and a modern and updtaed gourmet kitchen. The outdoor living room and kitchen is perfect for a guys weekend cook out or for family outings. Everyting in and outside of the house is clean, new and updated. As well, charming accents like the specialty soaps and farm raised organic eggs really make the Roadhouse a special destination location. I will be going back as much as my schedule allows.

What an amazing mini vacation Ron & Michael gave me and my girlfriends. From the beautifully stocked kitchen to the fresh flowers awaiting our arrival, there was not one detail overlooked. From the minute I stepped foot on that beautiful front porch, I felt like I was at a good friend's home. So welcoming and so inviting, the Roadhouse provided every comfort of home. I will be returning time and time again. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. My family just got a little bigger!
