Home is just a few miles from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. This Coastal Living Design custom built home is delightfully situated on the peaceful banks of Lake Allure, a 30 acre freshwater lake where fish abound and where you can enjoy your morning coffee from either the huge screened porch or one of the two upstairs decks.
Watch the ducks and geese fly in. Birding on Eastern Shore is nothing short of fantastic. The region is an important resting and breeding stop along the Atlantic Flyway for countless birds, with more bird sightings recorded here than anywhere else in the state.
There is fun for the whole family at a swimming beach with a beach bath-house located at Kiptopeke State Park - which is three blocks north of the Chesapeake Bay bridge, plus swimming at the public beach at Cape Charles.
Amenities include: air conditioning, local telephone, Dish Network TV, fully furnished kitchen with all appliances, dishes, pots and cooking utensils provided and a laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer.
Ten minutes north of the house, visit Cape Charles which is experiencing a revitalization and where every street heading west will take you to the public beach and the Chesapeake Bay. Harbor facilities are available at the Town Harbor call 757-331-2357. For after hours arrival, call in advance and pay in the morning. Enjoy the numerous quaint shops and restaurants that Cape Charles has to offer and the world class Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Courses. For golf information call 757-331-8620.
Travelling further north, in approximately 75 minutes you can be on famous Chincoteague Island or cross over the bridge to Assateague Island and visit the Wildlife Refuge and the beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Travel southward and in 45 minutes, including a ride over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, you will have easy access to Virginia Beach, historic Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown and the numerous attractions Norfolk has to offer.
