My husband, myself and our dog enjoyed a three-day weekend at this great cabin. The home was very clean, comfortable and very well taken care of. There is nothing like the wood smell of a log cabin! .A nice size home. Loved the loft! We enjoyed the great outdoor fireplace in the evenings! I would love to come back here and stay a little longer next time. We enjoyed hiking to the waterfalls in the state park, boulder field and other trails. We took a short ride and enjoyed the little town of Jim Thorpe. Overall, I would recommend this property to friends and family!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We enjoyed our three night stay at this cute log cabin!! Everything was really clean. The pellet stove keeps you nice and warm. Game room is fun. My only complaint is the mattresses are uncomfortable. Other then that we had a great experience staying here. Would recommend to friends and family.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you had a good stay. We would like to know which of the mattresses were uncomfortable since they all are newer. We would like to address the issue. It matters to us what renters think.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend. We were a bit disappointed when we first arrived because the picture of the front of the house makes it look a lot bigger on the outside then it actually is but once we got inside we realized it was huge, especially for just the 2 of us. You could easily fit 10 people with room to spare. It was really clean and nicely decorated and we loved the wood smell. The kitchen has everything you could ever need to cook and the pool table was great to have. We saw tons of deer around the community and even some turkeys right across the street. It rained the most of the time we were there but we still had plenty of activities to do like horseback riding and see the boulder fields. The only things we didn't like was that has was finding any supermarket nearby that stayed open late was hard and there were some building materials left lying around some wooded parts of the property. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend the cabin :)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We had a very pleasant stay at the log house. It met all our expectations. Very cozy, clean, nicely decorated, secluded, closed to many attractions. We have enjoyed the wildlife and near by lake. Very easy to deal with the owners. We will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

My family and I just returned from our mini vacation in the Poconos. I have to admit after reading the last review I was a bit nervous about the cleanliness of the property. Upon arrival I was extremely shocked that someone could give such a horrible review. The home was spotless and had the incredible log cabin smell we were looking for! During our stay we had no experience with ants, the owners were quit accomodating with allowing our dog to join us for the vacation and gave us information on things to do in the area for my young family. WOULD DEFINITELY RENT AGAIN AND RECOMMEND THIS HOME!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Not a clean place. A couple of minutes after we arrived, the owner showed up. She did a quick cleaning. I noticed she did not mop the floors or wash the comforters. Needless to say, we didn't use them. Then the nex afternoon the living room, kitchen and upstairs bathroom were crawling with big black ants! I had to stay local, and miss out on taking my kids to the waterpark so I could let the exterminator in the following day.Owner response: Renter arrived before check in time. Owner came to check on the house and found out renters already arrived. Renter was notify since it was back to back renting that cleaning between rental groups was not done yet do to their early arrival. Cleaning service came and have done their cleaning. Renters were not in present. They chose to come back after everything is in order. The place is ants free. It is a log house we can't afford such a thing.

My family and I stayed in Heda and Vladimir's home for Thanksgiving. The pictures don't do it full justice -- the home was immaculate, and decorated to make you feel at home. We were there with six people and had plenty of room to spread out. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and just wonderful. We hope to stay again, and would recommend this home to anyone. Thank you for an overall great experience. The Sierra Family!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family and I spent a lovely weekend in Heda's beautiful house. To say we were thrilled with our stay would be an understatement. We are all Native American/North American Indians and we were delighted to see so much of our culture in the decor of this lovely log home. It is obvious that Heda pays attention to detail as there were seasonal touches everywhere. A short ride put us in the village of Jim Thorpe and we spent the most remarkable day exploring and absorbing the type of culture that one does not often find in a large metropolitan city such as where most of us live. It is difficult to believe that we were only an hour and forty-five minutes from home. My family and I all agreed that we would return to this wonderful home without even looking for anyplace else in the Poconos. Thank you for being such a wonderful host, Heda.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Why the Owner Chose Towamensing Trails:
We have always dreamed to have a log house in a private location yet close to the lake and to the community amenities and attractions close by. Just to have that feeling to be in the mountains and at the same time to be convenietly located to many things.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It is so nice to come every season. So peaceful with all the snow and only the foot marks from animals crossing our property. We enjoy the hot summer days taking the advantage of few minutes walk to the lake or just sitting on the covered porch looking at the rain coming down. Fall is absolutely breath taking in Poconos.
