Located on Annabessacook Lake, this small yet charming cottage sleeps four to six people comfortably. Totally renovated in 2006 with knotty pine interior, completely new kitchen, full new bath, and all new floors to a fresh carpet of grass on the outside. There is a grassy patio area with two chaise lounges and a gas grill for an outdoor barbeque or just watching the loons and enjoying the lake views. Only 50 feet from the waters edge, sit back and keep cool with the fresh water breeze or get out there and enjoy the lake up-close and personal.
Being centrally located makes this a great place if you want to venture out. If your looking for something close, the towns of Monmouth and Winthrop are both only a five minute drive with a few dining choices, a live theater, and golf courses. Only 20 Minutes away you will find the cities of Augusta and Lewiston with plenty of shopping, many restaurant choices, museums, cinemas, night clubs, bowling, and more. L.L. Bean is only 40 minutes away and the city of Portland is a 50 minute drive. If you would like to enjoy the coast, your only approximately one hour away and the Maine coast is a must to see.
If staying around the cottage is your choice, the 40 feet of shoreline frontage is shallow and deepens gradually for safe swimming. Local boat rentals and jet skis are available with the boat launch less than a mile away. One kayak is included in your weekly rental. The camp road is private and safe for just an afternoon stroll and there is no such thing as too much time to relax. |
