Welcome to Quiet Haven, a beautiful, large, 4 bedroom, 3 bath mountain home located adjacent to the Coolfont Resort, in Berkeley Springs, WV!! This home includes a kitchen, spacious family room, 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Enjoy the covered porch and the beautiful view it offers. In the summer, enjoy fishing, hiking, tennis, an outdoor pool and lake swimming on the mountainside. Currently the Coolfont Resort is under renovation/expansion and all of the resort amenities are unavailable until further notice. Children welcome.

We recently (Nov 09') spent a weekend at "Quiet Haven" with all of our extended family - nine of us. What a great setup for just getting together to just hang out. Great fireplace with couches to relax in and carry on the fire side chats. Plenty of room for game playing, guitar playing and sleeping. Towels and Linens are provided - that was a nice benefit. The weather was nice so we played some tennis and basketball as well as hiked up through the woods. Lastly, the owners were a pleasure to work with - very nice folks. I highly recommend the place for a family get-together as we had or for multiple couples looking for a nice get away destination.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We have already booked our vacation for the third summer in a row at this home. The owners are very easy to work with; the home is comfortable and well equipped; the community has a wonderful pool, baby pool, hot tub, tot lot, and tennis courts; the location is 10 minutes from downtown (churches, restaurants, parks, springs, galleries, spas, etc.), and 20 minutes from Cacapon State Resort (where there is a lake with a beach and paddle boats). So much to do, such a reasonable price; What a great value! We come back every summer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed here more than 5 years ago but my kids still talk about the fantastic vacation in Berkeley Springs and all of the fun they had in the house playing cards and exploring the woods with their cousins. I would highly recommend this cabin and hope to come back sometime soon!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house was ok but we found dealing with the owner very difficult. It took almost 2 months and repeated phone calls to get our money back. The contract stated that the deposit would be returned in 2 weeks. The owner said that leaking faucet was our fault and kept part of the deposit. We will never rent from these owners again!Owner response: We have been renting our home for over 4 years and have never had difficulties with a renter. We have customers that have been repeatedly renting from us year-after-year. Our home has been furnished with wonderful antiques and quilt bedding to give our renters a warm, cozy feeling of "home away from home". We take great pride in sharing our home and appreciate that all of our renters over the years have taken great care with our things while visiting our home. The house is immaculate because of this. We recognize that in renting our home we will absorb the cost of normal wear and tear over the years, and we are constantly maintaining our property to insure it is always in A+ condition. We believe the pictures on the website indicate this. In this particular incident, the kitchen faucet was broken off the sink base resulting in water damage in the kitchen cabinet. Our cleaning service reported the damage to us the day after the rental family had checked out. We had to make a special trip to the house to repair the faucet (3 hours round trip) and clean up the water damage. As well, there were dark green stains left on the family room carpet and coffee table that had to be scrubbed repeatedly to remove. There are still remnants of the stain on the coffee table. Our policy has always been to return the security deposit within two weeks of vacating our home. In this case, there were damages requiring repairs and the deposit was returned once the repairs were completed - 4 weeks from the time of vacancy.
