Just returned from spending nearly a week at Band Box Cottage with my two teenage daughters. The cottage has the screened in porches I've always wanted and we spent most of our time at the cottage enjoying them. Within an hour of our arrival, we felt like we were on vacation and enjoyed the cottage decor with many of the amenities of home. We loved the minute and a half walk to Douglas Beach with its soft sand and beautiful sunsets as well as the five minute drive into Douglas for restaurants and kayak rentals and equally quick drive into Saugatuck for more restaurants, shopping, Oval Beach and the state park where we hiked the dunes. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and plan to return.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.
