Wonderful relaxing house. We have rented many houses in Catskills and this one is by far our favorite. Antique stove was a great bonus. It kept the house very cozy. We'll definately be back.

Nice, clean refurbished home. My husband, son, daughter, westie, and I had a very relaxing week here. It was a pleasure to see the chickens next door and to stay on such a historic site. The old stove in the kitchen was really interesting. We didn't need to light it because the heating system in the house worked so well. The only downfall to the house was the 3rd bedroom was located upstairs in the unfinished attic. The bedroom itself was new and nice, but neither one of my kids would stay up there because when you came out of the room you were in the unfinished attic.

The title says it all!! It was a magical experience for all of us including the kids. We had a great stay at the farm. The house was perfect, and owners paid a lot of attention for minute details which made it a home away from home. We feel very fortunate to have made this connection and cannot wait to be back soon...

Charming and quaint cottage

The cottage was beautiful and charming. We had such a great time. The RR trail was enjoyable, especially for the views, although the terrain was relatively a flat ride (we are avid mountain bike riders). All the little details were such a nice touch (right down to the fresh eggs). The cows on the hill and the cat gave it a calm, quiet and relaxing feeling (although my dogs weren't too thrilled). After speaking with the caretakers, the history of the cottage dates back to the 1800's and has been in the family since. The description and photos are an accurate reflection of the cottage. It was clean and well maintained and I will absolutely recommending to family and friends and hopefully visiting again.

This was way more than we could have dreamed of. All the added treats were amazing, the fresh eggs, the big fluffy robes, the wood burning stove, the fire pit,Georgie the cat. The whole farm is beautiful. So many photo ops every place you turn. If you are looking for a country get-a-way, this is the place for you! Perfect for family vacations or a girls weekend or a couples retreat. All ages would love this place, from young children to your 90 year old Grandmother. If I had to pick one word to discribe the home, the farm and the owners, it would be "Lovely". Everyone who loves nature, healthy living and or art should go visit the Turquois Barn while you are here. Thank you Barbara for the T-Barn hook up.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the farmhouse,12/25-12/30. We did not expect to find the superb job the owners put into restoring the farmhouse, or the fully decorated Christmas tree in the dining room!. It was really great to see the picture of the house at the turn of the century, and speak to Scott regarding thehistory of the farm. Georgie the cat was the first to greet us, and we felt right at home. We were lucky enough to have a good snowfall, and to sit with hot chocolate and watch it pile up was a highlight of our time there. We went skiing at Hunter Mt, about 45 minutes away, and went to Brooks' BBQ in Oneonta, about 1/2 hour away. We made several treks to the scenic trail behind the farmhouse where we saw lots of wildlife. We exceptionally enjoyed the peace and quiet, and seeing the sun rise between the frost covered mountains. I would recommend stayng at the farmhouse to anyone who needs some serious R&R, and to those who can appreciate how things used to be, and how in some places they still are.

It was exactly as advertised which we loved. No surprises, no change in the furniture and good reading lamps. The setting is so pleasant and should be absolutely beautiful when the leaves start to change. We sat out front and even started waving to the neighbors passing as the week progressed. George took a couple of days to get used to us but eventually even joined us for breakfast, bringing his own! Woodchuck in the back, which we did not recognize as we are from the south. The family is lovely, friendly and will give you space if needed. We enjoyed all of them, the family, the house, great towns to visit nearby and dairies where we watched cheese being made. The walking trail is very accessible as is Hobart. We will definitely return.

Enjoyed a wonderful stay. The home was spacious and clean; the surroundings were peaceful. We had several fires by the firepit. The trail behind the property offered an opportunity for a few walks. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

We have stayed at several homes rented for vacation and this one was the best. The home was vert clean and very cozy. My husband has a bad back and we found the beds to be very comfortable. The home was supplied with the types of linens and towels and blankets that I would have put in my own home. The location of the home was in a rural setting and it was great to get up in the morning and have access to a hiking trail that was perfect for exercise. My son had a great time exploring the grounds and the trail. They even supplied us with a dozen fresh eggs from their own farm. They were delicious. Our trip was planned quickly and with little notice. The owners were quick to respond by email and were very fair about our need to be flexible with the reservation dates. We felt very secure that if a problem arose it would be taken care of. We had access to internet, tv, and our cell phones even worked. We would love to stay here in the future and would recommend the home to our relatives and friends. Thanks again to the owners for being so flexable with us.

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at the farmhouse. The weather wasn't the greatest but, as some commenters have noted, I would have been perfectly comfortable just staying in and enjoying the house. The house is meticulously clean and well maintained, very comfortable and has everything you may need. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful if needed, but will also stay out of your way if you'd rather. I didn't meet Georgie the cat but hope to next time. Finally, given the quality of the property, the rate is very reasonable. Highly recommended.
