Safe (unlike the area surrounding Disneyland), scenic (beautiful trees and hills), comfortable, clean and quiet Town Home located in the upscale community of breathtaking Orange Hills. Enjoy the Tommy Bahama décor in our 3 Bedroom, 2 1/4 bath Town Home (1550 square feet) with pool, spa and tennis (tennis rackets provided) located just below the exclusive Orange Hill Restaurant. The Town Home sleeps 8 (Beds include 1 queen, 2 fulls & 2 twins) and has all the luxuries of home, including a fully equipped kitchen, fresh linens & towels, wet-bar, patio area and furniture, charcoal barbecue, washer/dryer, refrigerator, local phone service, internet access, T.V., VCR, DVD, wood burning fireplace, air conditioning and heating. The weather is 5-10 degrees warmer than the beach communities so Fall to Spring is fabulous because you can enjoy the warm weather and drive 20 minutes to the beach if weather permits-that way your vacation is not ruined if it is cold at the beach.
Orange (Orange County's first city) is in the heart of Orange County and therefore is centrally located to all attractions in Southern California including Disneyland (16 minutes, 10.46 miles), Knott's Berry Farm (15 minutes), Laguna Beach (20 minutes, Hot Shopping Spots (including South Coast Plaza, Fashion Island & Outlets) LA/Hollywood (one hour), Big Bear/Local Mountains (one hour, 30 minutes) and San Diego (one hour, 15 minutes)
Orange is best known for The Circle of Orange, which has a charming down home feel. Residents and visitors have repeatedly voted historic Old Towne Orange as the county's favorite downtown area. It is considered the antique shopping capital of Southern California and has many unique restaurants including Rutebagorz, Watson's Drug and PJ Abbey. It has also been the site of numerous movies including, "That Thing You Do" with Tom Hanks and Liv Tyler.
Fabulous Irvine Park also located in Orange is 5 minutes from the Town Home. It is a dream park perfect for a family or romantic picnic (we provide a picnic basket). It has multiple attractions, including a duck pond (yes you can feed the ducks), train (for children to ride), zoo, playground, pony rides, horseback riding, enormous grass areas, shaded areas, barbecues, picnic tables and more. Don't forget to bring your camera because of the beautiful scenery! In all the years I lived in Orange County I never knew this existed but it is something not to miss.
Personal History: My husband and I bought this "Slice of Charm" Town Home in 2001 as our first home. We since moved closer to family and decided to use it as a vacation rental because of its unique location, location, location! Since both of us have lived in Southern California our entire lives, we have ample knowledge of the area and points of interest. Come enjoy, relax and stay, and we will provide a detailed binder full of pamphlets and menus of our recommendations of the most important aspects of Orange County and surrounding areas.
In my opinion this is the perfect place to stay for an Orange County vacation. Families and guests can enjoy the 331 days of California Sunshine while relaxing by the pool or visiting various attractions. You name it, it is within a short car ride! The house is fully equipped for cooking meals at home, although you won't want to miss any of the delicious restaurants nearby! The weather is perfect almost year round-no June gloom like the beach communities. So come and put your feet up - after all, you're on vacation! |
