Hiking, biking, boating, and ATV riding are just a few of the many outdoor opportunities that await your discovery. Within 90 minutes of Bryce, Zion, Lake Powell, and Grand canyon, Our secluded adobe home is a great place to base your explorations from.

Seven miles east of Kanab on 5 acres this 3 bedroom luxury home backs the quiet solitude of amazing red rock canyons. Some of the best hiking is right out the back-door.

The home is only a few years old, as is everything in it with few exceptions. Relax in one of TWO jetted tubs, or walk-in jetted shower. Two cozy Kiva-style gas fireplaces, one in the master, and a large flat screen tv with satellite for your entertainment. The Beds are all new, high quality, and very comfortable. Two of the bedrooms have french doors leading to a huge back porch. The views are magnificent. Its a great place to watch wildlife.( Deer and bunnies mostly.) Its not uncommon to see as many as a dozen bunnies hopping around the property and beyond.
Watch the sun set from the huge covered porch, grill outdoors, or sit around the large fire pit and roast marshmallows. The property borders BLM land in the back and the red rocks are breath taking.

The Patterson family writes:
The hiking was phenomonal. From the slot canyons of Wire Pass to summiting "Mount McCool". We could not have found a better place for gathering with the people we love and hiking in the land we love. We look forward to returning.

Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2004

Matt and Samantha are small buisness owners who love to get away for adventures as often as possible.

Why the Owner Chose Kanab

We built our custom adobe home in 2004 with the intent to retire in the beautiful and friendly town of Kanab Utah. We are fortunate to be able to share our home with families all over the world until our dreams of retirement are fulfilled.

The Unique Benefits of this Vacation House

We discover something new everytime we stay here. There are so many places to see within an hours drive of our home. One of our favorites is to wake before dawn, drive to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and watch the sun come up. It is truly spectacular.
Our home backs the quiet solitude of a small canyon where we can watch the wildlife while sipping a morning cup of coffee on the back porch. At night we look at the stars and are amazed at the sheer number. Sometimes we are treated to the sound of coyotes in the distance.
