Wanting a true taste of luxury in the Caribbean? This brand new, beautiful condominium, completed in 2006, is in the beautiful development of Paseo del Sol in Playacar. The building is particularly well located just minutes from the beach and a 12 minute walk from the popular Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) shopping and restaurant outdoor mall.
The grounds are balanced by a gorgeous, 90 meter long swimming pool, a dramatic open air reception area, on-site fitness center and tennis court, and located right beside the fantastic championship Playacar Golf Club and Spa. The building has 24 hour security. This is NOT a time-share building. My condominium is fully owned.
The condominium contains many amenities to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. This 2nd floor condo, only has 3 others on the same floor. Walk or take the elevator to my wonderful 1,250 square foot unit. It comfortably sleeps from four to six guests. Three private balconies so that you can watch the sunsets over the golf course. Normally this type of luxury would go for $300.00 per day). The condo is furnished in a tropical style with Indonesian and other wood furniture.
There are two ample bedrooms with built-in closets and space. The master bedroom contains a matrimonial bed (almost king). The guest bedroom contains two twin beds, plus TV. Plus the possibility of opening up the sofa bed in the smallest 3rd bedroom. All beds have new mattresses. The floors throughout the unit are marble tile; the kitchen has granite countertops; and the bathrooms are done in stone and marble tile. There are balconies off the living room and both bedrooms. All rooms contain ceiling fans and air-conditioning units.
The unit has a washer and dryer in the separate laundry area. Fix yourself a great meal in this wonderful kitchen, it's better than being at home. You will find all new appliances, including a built in stove top, an ice maker refrigerator, a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender. There are 2 new TV’s and DVD player in the living room. (You can bring your own DVDs to play or you can rent them.
The building is particularly well-located— close enough to Fifth Avenue to enjoy the downtown hot spots, yet far enough away from the excess nightly noise. It is just a short stroll to the white sand Mayan Riviera beach and less than a twelve-minute stroll (three-minute taxi ride) to the center of Playa Del Carmen's famous Fifth Avenue shopping and dining. Sams,Wal-Mart and a high tech shopping center is also short driving distance from the condominium.
We are located directly across from the Reef Club in Playacar. We have a daily pass available to use their beach area, lounge chairs, towels, gym and tennis. For $40/day per person, you can also eat, drink, use their non-motorized water toys, bikes etc until 6 pm. They also have a night pass available for dining, dinner show and night club.
Playa Del Carmen is located just 40 minutes South of Cancun and offers miles of clean white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping without the towering hotels and crowds of tourists. The tallest building in Playa is 4 stories high. Playa Del Carmen offers many great opportunities to relax, as well as opportunities to explore and learn. For those who want to pass the day in the sun, there are miles of white sandy beach and turquoise waters. If you did not bring your own chairs and umbrella, there are numerous "Beach Clubs" where you can rent a chaise and an umbrella for a few dollars a day. From your chair, you can order meals and beverages throughout the day. Should you wish to snorkel, dive, kayak, or engage in many other water sports, you can book those activities at one of the many dive shops located on the beach and nearby. For those who wish to relax with a massage, massage services are available at most of the "Beach Clubs." There are also spas on Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) where you can book your favorite treatments.
For those who prefer to shop and eat, Playa Del Carmen's Quinta Avenida has upscale boutiques selling clothing, decorative items, jewelry, and many other things. The restaurants are varied in terms of price and type of food: American, Mexican, Thai, Italian, Japanese, and many other types of food.
For the golf and tennis enthusiast, Playacar's spectacular 18-hole golf course and tennis court are located on the premises. From my balcony, you can see the 15th hole. The condominium complex is located right next to the golf course. For those who prefer the fitness center, there is a brand-new one within the complex. Bikes are also for rent in Playa Del Carmen for those who wish to explore the area and nearby Playacar on two wheels.
Many tour companies operate in Playa Del Carmen and offer tours to the nearby Mayan ruins of Tulum, Coba, and Chichen-Itza. Snorkeling and diving tours at Cozumel (30 minutes by ferry), Akumal (15 minutes), Xel-Ha (35 minutes), and Xcaret (10 minutes) are also available. Trips to swim with the dolphins at Puerto Aventuras (10 minutes) are also popular. For those who wish to see more of the Yucatan, there are also overnight tours to Merida (three to four hours) and the ruins of Uxmal.
