Nestled in the green, rolling hills of the Umbrian countryside of Lake Trasimeno is a charming and private vacation home called "Il Casalino". It is one of the oldest in the tiny hamlet of Casalini and was originally used by the owners of the only hilltop castle in Casalini.

Recently restored and with the most modern conveniences, this home will delight even the most discerning visitor. The original stone has been exposed in two sections on the outside to show the architectural detail of days gone by. Inside, old brick arches, window and wall niches, wood-beamed ceilings, plus old doors and shutters all add to the traditional charm and character of this home. A pleasing mixture of modern and antique furnishings, tiled floors, and soft hues of green and coral furniture welcome you.

Set amidst terraced olive groves, grapevines, beautiful gardens and a fish pond, Il Casalino offers tranquility and comfort. Panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking.

Il Casalino is a two-storey, two bedroom, two bath home that sleeps 4 comfortably. Twin beds are also available for 2 additional people. It comes with a new, fully-equipped kitchen with seating for 6, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, two refrigerators (an extra in the garage), American and European coffee makers, toaster, washing machine, dryer, hair dryers in each bathroom; downstairs sitting room with fireplace; upstairs entertainment room with satellite TV and SKY cable, broadband Internet; comfortable sofas and chairs; double bedrooms with queen beds. There is also a garden, two patios and barbecue and outdoor fireplace.

This country home is ideal for couples, friends and family because it offers privacy, and you don't have to share any facilities with others. Just 5 km away is Lake Trasimeno and Panicale, a lovely medieval village with restaurants, bars, cafès, shops and main services. Surrounding the lake are many other historic towns set high in the hills just waiting to be explored.

INTERIORS
Ground floor - with new, fully equipped kitchen/dining area with seating for 6; sitting room with open fireplace, sofa and chairs; one large double bedroom with queen bed. Both internal and external staircases lead to the first floor.

First floor - entertainment room and study that comes with a leather sofà, chairs, coffee table, and a beautifully restored wooden oxen yoke; one double bedroom with private bathroom and shower. Another bathroom with shower is just off the living room.

PARK: Il Casalino has a fenced garden with a surface of approximately 1.100 m². Rosemary bushes line the driveway to the house and a fish pond is just outside the front entrance. The gardens are well maintained and are ideal for relaxing. Included is a teak outdoor table, deck chairs, sunbed and sun umbrella. Both the upper and lower patios are absolutely perfect for taking some time for yourselves after an exhilerating day of exploration and delight. Sip your favorite local wine, dine alfresco, or just simply pull out a sunbed and bathe in the sunshine, listening to the rustling of leaves and the chirping of small birds.

This country home is perfect any time of the year - Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, long-term, monthly, weekly.
