Wow! This cabin is exactly what we were looking for. It is absolutely beautiful. We stayed for a long weekend with my family of 5 (me, hubby, 3 girls ages 3, 14, 17), my mother- & father-in-law, and my sister-in-law and 19 yr old neice. We had MORE than enough room for all of us. The cabin is exactly what I had envisioned staying in... rustic, comfortable, cozy, secluded, great views, lots of windows (so you can tell you're in the mountains even when you're inside). We LOVED the wood burning stove in the living room and the fire pit in the side yard. My husband really enjoyed the hammock. Every room has a bookcase in it with tons of books and there are tons of games and puzzles at the bottom of the stairway going up to the sleeping loft. My 2 oldest daughters loved sleeping in the loft above the living room. And the two separate, yet still together, living room areas worked perfectly for us. The views were great and my youngest daughter loved swinging in the tree swing. We also enjoyed the many trails that are on the property. The cabin is very secluded yet still only a short drive to the main street in Highlands with all of their wonderful little shops and places to eat. We will definitely be back. My girls said that we have found "our place" to come back to every year for our Fall trip. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!!!

We have enjoyed all of our stays at this wonderful cabin. It is peaceful as well as playful. The cabin is clean, but rustic with all the modern comforts we were looking for. The cabin and town of Highlands had everything we needed from gourmet foods and wine for a picnic to great resturants! We also enjoyed the hiking and visiting the many shops. Our favorite pastime though, was reading at the cabin with just the sounds of nature around us. We look forward to another visit as a couple or with friends, as there is plenty of room for sharing this adventure! Thank you very much for sharing the experience of your beautiful cabin and the NC mountains.
