Location: Windy Hill Dunes, Windy Hill, North Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA (Located in the Best of North Myrtle Beach - Windy Hill !)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)

We purchased this condo because we believe a vacation should be something special and memorable, and we couldn't think of a better place to do that than my wife's childhood hometown - North Myrtle Beach.

The unit is in "the" luxury location in the high end Windy Hill area of North Myrtle Beach - right on the water with an ocean front view without obstructions. An impressive fitness center, hot tub, very large pool, a kiddie pool with a 1 foot depth, and a lazy river with a current that lets you float in out of the sun while enjoying a good book, getting a tan or making new friends.

The parking garage is covered and features a glass enclosed pedestrian bridge to the building - no walking through the rain or dealing with open parking many condo units in Myrtle beach have. All of the "little things" are available, such as a "unload" drop off area and an abundance of Luggage Carts and Shopping carts so you can quickly get started into your vacation and avoid too many "car to room" trips hand carrying all of your stuff.

You'll find the best of bedding and pillows so you'll be able to relax and enjoy sleeping away from home. The master bedroom and third bedroom both have king sized beds and private bathrooms (the ocean side master bathroom has a full sized garden tub and separate full sized shower stall), the 2nd bedroom has two new queen beds. There is also a pull out queen bed sofa in the living room - 10 folks can enjoy the unit comfortably - there is also seating for 10 out on the spacious deck!

Because for some of us, vacation also requires checking into work or just checking out the local entertainment and activities, broadband high speed internet service is included.

The living room has a big screen flat panel TV, cable, a DVD player and a surround sound system that will play DVDs (including Blu-Ray) or any music disks you'd like to hear. The Master Bedroom also includes a flat screen TV, cable and a DVD player (also plays Blu-Ray). Bedroom 2 (the one with the two queen beds, has a flat screen TV, a Sony PS2 game console for the kids (there are a couple of games there and they should bring their own game disks) and a dvd player. Bedroom 3 (the second master bedroom with its own private bath) has a flat screen TV and a DVD player.

You can never have enough ice on a beach vacation, so we purchased a portable ice machine for the unit. Yes the GE Profile subzero freezer produces a lot of ice, but as we all know, between coolers and the smoothie/margarita maker we have in the condo, there is never enough ice. Feel free to use the portable ice maker if you need it - it produces up to 35 lbs of ice per day! There is a full sized high capacity washer and dryer in the unit. We also have an electric juicer in the unit if you enjoy fresh orange or grapefruit juice in the morning, a full featured food processor, a George Foreman grill etc.

Of course there is a ice cold water cooler that holds a five gallon bottle of spring/purified water which you can buy at any of the local stores. If the previous renters left some over, please be kind and return and refill the empty bottle - there are always two bottles in the unit so you will never have to pay the deposit on the bottle - just take the empty bottle back to any local store.

Unlike most unit owners, we'll provide the key to the owners storage area just outside of the front door - so you can borrow our beach chairs, beach umbrella - we know you'll take care of them as if they were your own.

Forget a book? We have a library of 40 or so books for you to enjoy. If you don't finish one by the end of your vacation feel free to take it with you, all we ask is that if you take one, please leave one for other guests to enjoy.

We also have a 400 or so DVD library for you to enjoy during your stay.

Here for golf? Roll out our practice putting green in the central hallway, its more than long enough.

Based on feedback from our renters last summer, we purchased a dozen or so family favorite board games (such as Scrabble etc) that you can enjoy during your stay.

There are too many local activities to possibly list but we've left our "book" of local favorite restaurants, golf courses, amusement parks, entertainment and shopping - with prices, directions and phone numbers. Because of the prime location of Windy Hill Dunes, para-sailing and other water activity and rental locations are a very short walk up the beach.

We all get too few vacations/holidays in life with friends or family - each one should be treasured as "the best of times".

You'll see from the availability calendar that since we want you to enjoy your vacation as much as we enjoy ours, our unit gets reserved very quickly as we have more and more returning guests - make your reservations as soon as possible!

We consider ourselves semi-professional beach renters having rented houses/condos on both coasts and in three different countries and we have never encountered a more well appointed and comfortable place as Libby & Tom’s. The spaciousness, the attention to detail, the views all make this a truly wonderful place to spend well earned vacation time. When you first enter you feel as if you have entered Libby & Tom’s home and within minutes you feel as if you are home.   • We were guests in Libby & Tom's condo from 9/5/09 thru 9/12/09. I have been coming to NMB for almost 30 years and this was by far one of the nicest units I have ever stayed in. The keyless entry was fabulous...no fumbling for keys!! We have styed in WHD's since it opened in 2000. This unit just beat every other unit we have stayed in...hands down. The amenities and attention to detail are very evident. Just a fabulous time was had by everyone in our party. Oh and the weather was absolutely gorgeous too!!

  • We had a very good time in your condo this summer. It had alot of room and plenty of sleeping space. Parking was NOT a problem. We watched the fireworks at Barefoot Landing from the top floor of the parking deck (while eatting KK donuts). The view was wonderful. Thanks and have a great year.

  • Thanks Libby, we have had a wonderful time here in your lovely condo. And yes, it has gone by much too quickly. We have never seen a more organized place nor one more well equipped. We have had wonderful weather except for a couple of really cool days when it was cool everywhere, I think.. Today was the first time we had rain during the day. But we really did have storm. We have really appreciated the "no key" entrance system you have. It makes it so much easier for everyone. The parking was great and so were the other amenities. Hopefully we'll be able to come back next year.

  • Libby and Tom made the VRBO process smooth, easy and friendly. The condo property was well maintained. We used the pool, lazy river, grill and exercise room.   • Thank you Libby. My family and I had a wonderful time at your condo. We loved the ice machine!! Area was wonderful. Condo was very nice and the view was spectacular. We enjoyed several of the local restaurants, but one, Senior Frog, should be avoided.
