"Steamboat Retreat" is the perfect place to curl up with a cup of cocoa in front of the fire after a full day of enjoying Steamboat's legendary champagne powder in winter, or hiking in summer!
This 1232 sq ft two bedroom, three bath condominium at the Phoenix was recently remodeled with stainless appliances, granite countertops, slate flooring, and rustic Mexican furniture. "A" rated by management company before we went VRBO. Large master has queen bed, private bath, and granite-topped vanity, plus a patio with easy access to the heated pool/hot tubs a few yards away. Second bedroom has twin beds and private bath, and the losers of the coin toss sleep upstairs on the comfortable pull-out couch but still enjoy their own private bath. Living/dining area overlooks the pool area.
The upper level also includes a one-car garage with ski racks; walk across Apres Ski Way to the slopes and ski/hike down to the gondola. After an active day outside, the free shuttle can take you downtown for dinner at one of Steamboat's fabulous restaurants.
Pack and play available; condo certified kid-friendly by our preschool daughter and infant son.
Reservation policy: MINIMUM 3 NIGHT STAY IN SUMMER and 4 NIGHTS in ski season. $300 refundable deposit payment required to reserve. 50% due 60 days in advance, and full payment due 30 days before arrival. If reserving less than 30 days in advance, full payment due at time of reservation (rent plus 11.4% tax, $100 cleaning fee and $300 security deposit). Please understand that we are family owners of only one vacation home, so we generally cannot offer discounts like the larger multi-unit rental companies, but we can guarantee top quality -you will love our very nicely furnished and superbly located condo!!
Cancellation: Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur only a $50 fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. Owner reserves the right to make exceptions for special circumstances (e.g. unexpected military orders).

Year Purchased: 2006
Steamboat Retreat belongs to Anne & Rick Johnson and John & Mimi Catlin, who are Anne's parents. We regularly visit Steamboat with the kids/grandkids, Natalie (4) and Ryan (1). Rick is a pilot in the USAF, Anne and John and engineers, Natalie is a fashionista, Ryan is Ryan, and Mimi stays busy trying to keep track of the rest of the gang.
Why the Owner Chose The Phoenix
The Yampa Valley Curse got us! We went to Steamboat for skiing in 2002, and have been coming back ever since. The skiing is fantastic, the town is friendly, and the Phoenix is in a great location.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
The condo itself is beautifully decorated and well positioned in the complex, overlooking the pool. The slopes are right across the street, so we can easily walk to the base area, including ski school.
