Family Bonding on the Lake, June, 2011

The home had more than enough room for all 12 of our family members. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and utensils. Our grand children enjoyed the games in the basement. The rental of the Pontoon Boat was well worth the price for the week. The porch was a great place to have our meals and coffee in the morning to watch the river. The home was far enough down the river to be quiet during the week from excess boat traffic. We would consider renting this home again in the future. We had a great time!

There is a reason why this property is always booked while others are not.

The property itself is great and constantly improving, the land it sits on is even better with unbelievable views to greet you every morning. Just about everything you can think of is provided for your enjoyment. If you like to spend a lot of time outside, you'll love this place,if you don't, you'll still love this place. We did! The owners are two of the nicest people we ever met and I'm not exaggerating. Even if we didn't love the place, which we obviously do, we would still go back there just because of them. Like I said in the title, there is a reason why this place is always booked while others are not. I guess I'm not helping myself with this review since we want to go back, but I don't care this property and the owners deserve it.

Our sons college cycling team stay

This home fit our bill for my sons college cycling team. There was plenty of space for all of us and the river was a added bonus for the cyclists to soak there legs in. Last year the team stayed in a hotel in Madison but it wasn't a team bonding experience as everyone ate separately and did things on their own but here we could all eat together (plenty of plates and utensils) and sit in the living room or out on the back porch and talk. The team had enough room to have team meetings in the family room and at night we had a fire in the fireplace. The fire pit down by the water was also nice and we made s'mores the last night there (the first s'mores for some of the team). The only thing that I could suggest is another bathroom for large groups of guests but the owner is working on a third bathroom in the downstairs when that's done it will be perfect. I highly recommend this vacation home.

Everything was just as they said it would be. We had our three grandson with us, all them under 3 years old. The home was kid safe and very welcoming. They loved the toys, swing and play house that they have. We watched all kinds of birds even saw a eagle! Would recommend this to anyone! We will be back!

I had to write and tell you what a wonderful weekend we had. As our family grows, so does your home! We had great times sharing meals around the table, making smores around the fire pit, and just being together in your great house. The theme seemed to be wild kingdom. Our son caught a GIANT adorable frog (He let him go of course), the neighbor let us visit a hedgehog he captured and had in a cage, the fish were biting, the toads were hopping, dogs next door came to visit when we grilled, we got to feed the ducks, and the chipmunks were very friendly. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay last year and are planning our trip for this year. We stayed there in Dec and watched the ice form and breakup on the river, it was very peaceful. The house is warm and nicely furnished. We did not go out for any meals, the kitchen is open and had all the pans and dishes I needed. I don't sleep deeply in hotels and strange houses so, the greatest compliment I can give a house is that I slept well there and I slept well at this house. The photos and description of the house are accurate. The house is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this property to everyone. We went to Cave of the Mounds which is by Madison while we were there. It was quite a drive, maybe an hour away, but worth the trip the tour through the cave is great.

When my son invited me to go along with his dad, brothers and him on a fishing trip to a "cabin", I politely declined; that is until he sent me the websist for this property. I changed my mind! All I can say is, it did not disappoint. It is a really beautiful place and very comfortable to stay in....very welcoming. The property is gorgeous and the view spectacular. We all really enjoyed the stay; even though they did not catch much fish! Another positive point was the fact that it was not very far from where most of us live, only about an hours drive yet had the feel of the "North Woods". Would go back again in a New York minute and hope to do so.
