Resting 1475 feet above sea level, in a 5400 square foot tropical garden, Daphne's cottage overlooks the village of Windwardside, awaiting your arrival for a weekend, one week, or more. The cottage was built in 1850 and retains its original native look and feel. Daphne Johnson was the last native owner of the house. Many guests have expressed an appreciation for the efficient blend of modern amenities (completely refurbished in 2002) while remaining respectful of traditional island architecture.
Daphne's cottage conveniently sits 300 feet from downtown, in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. You will enjoy a panoramic view, facing south-east, nestled slightly above the town of Windwardside but an easy one-minute walk (no hills). Our repeat guests often remark that the location is absolutely ideal and they wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
The cottage consists of 750 square foot living room, two independent rooms equipped with queen-size beds, american-style kitchen, one bathroom, and a private patio for dining in back. The house is furnished with brand new equipment throughout.
A state-of-the-art audio/DVD system will help you settle in at night and relax. Choose from our library of CDs and DVDs to enjoy for free (or you can always bring your own). The TV is intentionally not connected to cable or satellite.
