Accommodations:  Cottage, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-3)

Perfect for honeymooners or nature lovers--totally sheltered from view and private. Perched high on a rocky mountainside, this romantic getaway overlooks a sparkling clean, 12-acre lake, undiscovered by tourists and undisturbed by jet skis.

The high deck faces 200 feet of natural lake frontage which can be seen through the treetops. In afternoon sun or under a star-blasted night sky, it’s utterly private, on 3.5 wooded acres, with a handful of neighbors you’ll probably never see or hear.

Please note: This property is not child-proof. The area leading to the lake is fairly steep, rocky and uneven-- especially off the paths.

The cottage is classic knotty pine paneled and has a cathedral ceiling.

The romantic "loft" bedroom overlooks the livingroom and has a custom-made, platform bed with a firm, new, queen mattress. All bedding is supplied.

The den/TV room at the back of the house has a futon couch/bed.

A big bathroom features a washer/dryer, a walk-in shower and custom pine cabinetry with a colorful, Mexican ceramic sink and big drawers for clothes storage. Towels are supplied. Fresh water comes from a deep, private well.

In the compact kitchen are new appliances including a microwave and smooth-top range. No dishwasher besides yourself. Good lighting with extra light over the stove. Quality cookware, knives, dishes, glassware --fully equipped except for groceries.

There’s a new CD player/radio/cassette, a new TV (no cable or satellite dish) and DVD player with a few DVDs on hand. We get good cell phone reception--especially on the deck, so there’s no land-line and no internet, but you can use the local library and the Starbucks for internet. Phone book, maps and brochures are supplied.

The sunny front room has mahogany floors, a sitting/reading area and dining area with cast iron heat stove (propane). Directions for the heat stove are posted on the bulletin board in the kitchen.

There's a dock with a canoe (Life jackets and paddles are supplied.) and the water is very clean for swimming and good for fishing.

INSPECTION BEFORE RENTAL may be arranged by appointment.
