Pristine white sands. Phenomenal sunsets. Softly rolling sand dunes. This 1200 sq ft family cottage is nestled in the whispering pines and is the perfect spot to unwind, read, walk the uncrowded beach, and swim to your heart's content. From the spacious front deck, relax while enjoying the steady warm breezes and relaxing, soothing sound of waves lapping the shore. After each majestic sunset, enjoy an evening of fires on the beach, marshmallows, stargazing, and the beautifully lit sailboats and ships on the horizon.
Cottage History: My parents James and Elizabeth (their pictures are on the wall in the living room) purchased this property in 1952. The main cottage was built in 1957 along with a separate “bunk house” (the last bedroom of the cottage) that housed my three brothers and myself. In the late 70’s the front cottage and bunk house were connected with an extra bedroom and a breezeway.
Nearby Activities: Close by are several top rated golf courses, quaint villages, restaurants, fishing, horseback riding, sand dune rides, boating, and bicycling the “Hart-Montague” bike trail. Visit the local orchards and farms for seasonal fresh produce.

We spent a beautiful week at the cottage at the end of July. The weather was perfect. The cottage is very nice, clean, roomy...with lots of character and great cottage decor...iron beds, painted antique dressers, beach-find collages....very relaxing. Nice views, lots of sandy beach for playing, shallow water out so kids pretty safe there. The steps aren't too bad if you plan ahead. The fire-pit on the beach is such a bonus...that was where we ended up every night. Two of the bedrooms are connected (great for the kids) and one away from everyone with the view of the lake..of course that was our room! Lots to do in the area if you are able to drive 10 to 20 minutes plus. A+++Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Very well kept cottage with virtually everything you need for a great week. Be aware many steps and a walk to the actual beach area. Cottage is on a bluff. Great deck views of the freighters and a fire pit at the beach for bonfires and s'mores. A most relaxing and enjoyable place.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
