My wife & I just spent 3 weeks here & loved it. Very good location on the east end of the island. Short walk to the beach. Lorraine has bikes that go with the house & we rode them every day. Backyard pool is very private & a good place to relax. Wireless worked perfect for my laptop. Our cell phones did not work well here but unlimited long distance is included with the house phone. All in all, we could not have been happier & hope to return next year!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously at this fantastic Sanibel beach home. The home is lovely and inviting and all our expectations were exceeded. Lovely fully-equipped kitchen to cook in, pool chairs to relax in, a cart with beach chairs to carry belongings to the beach, comfortable beds to rest at the end of a great day, and more! The location cannot be beat either. Located on a dead end street which made exploring and playing very safe and enjoyable for the kids. Short walk to the beach, to restaurants and ice cream shop, to the channel to fish, and to shopping. We rode our bikes everywhere when we were not enjoying the beach or the pool! Very child and pet friendly.

What a great place to stay! Great house and pool, close to the beach, umbrellas and beach chairs on a cart to wheel to the beach, and a fantastic owner to work with. Obviously we had a fabulous experience...Thank you!! Bob

As I write this review, my husband and I are just coming to the end of a wonderful stay at this Sanibel vacation house. It has been a great month. We loved the location, close to everything and yet private and situated on a dead-end street. It is a short walk to the beach, and several restaurants and shops. It is a great area for biking and close to the causeway, should you want to check out Ft Myers or other off-island areas.We didn’t fully appreciate the desirability of the house and location until our grandchildren came for a visit. It is ideal for a family. With the pool and the beach, there is always something to do. The 9 and 11 year old biked the dead-end street and fished in the canal just a few hundred feet up the street. It is a quiet area and felt very safe. We enjoyed the fenced in pool area, the screened porch and all the beach gear provided. Not to mention that Sanibel is an ideal location for a family vacation. Our dog Rascal was welcome and he had a good time too.The house itself is very practical. The tile floors make cleaning out the sand easy (if you haven’t used the outdoor shower when you come home from the beach). The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. The entire house is up to date, with decent-size bedrooms and loarge closets.. The house has high speed internet and long distance telephone. (There is no reliable cell phone service.)Although it is more cottage than castle it is a great beach house for a family. I wish we could stay on.
