  This is a great place to stay, 2 big bedrooms & 2 nice bathrooms. My wife & kids wouldn't think of staying anywhere else, and neither would I. That's why I've been coming here for 5 years in a row. We love to sit on the wrap around balcony and watch the dolphins go swimming by. A very nice size kitchen and my wife loves having the washer and dryer in the room so she doesn't have to take a bunch of dirty laundry home. My kids love being so near the ocean & pool. The elevator is only a few steps from your front door, very handy for packing and unpacking. The condo has a very relaxing décor with paintings by the owner. I've never met the owners but feel like we've been friends for ever. They go the extra mile to make sure your vacation is great. The Nautilus is an older but well maintained building with a helpful and friendly staff on hand. I also like staying here because you don't have the loud partiers here, nice and peaceful mostly families with their kids. If you compare other condo and hotel rates you get lot more bang for your buck at this condo. Me and my family have just returned from vacationing at this condo and already booked the room for next year. I would very strongly recommend this condo to someone else and have.   Just wanted to thank you again for letting us rent your condo. We had a very inspiring convention. I was wondering if you are the artist of the backsplash in the kitchen. That is totally awesome. It gave me an idea to look for some wallpaper with a large print that I would like and put it up with clear plexi glass in front. Also the mirrored shell painting was awesome too. I really liked the fact that the walls were pastel colored and the decor was very nice also. If you are the artist I suspect you did the faux finish on the walls in the guest bath, loved that too. You had mentioned before about laying ceramic tile in the Living room, That would be nice, my brother rented a condo in the same building and they had ceramic tile in their LR. Note: I am the artist and I was so happy to hear Linda liked my personal touches. Also, we have installed new porcelain tile in the living room. So pretty and easy to clean.

  My first impressions of the Condo is that it was a little small in the living area, but that it seemed to be clean and not too small to enjoy. The view from the side was still a nice view, however, the balcony is quite small in width so if you have to sit side by side in a line to enjoy the balcony and it does make it harder to talk and visit with each other. My husband and I did however enjoy having coffee on the balcony and watching the sun come up. My biggest disappointments were that there were no extra trash bags anywhere, there was only half a roll of toilet paper in the master bath and the guest bath with no replacements so we had to go buy toilet paper our first day there, and there was no soap of any kind (dish or hand soap) and since there was no dish soap the cleaning crew had run the dishwasher after the last renters, but the first thing I had to do was unload the dishes. I did email the owner and let her know this and she said she would address the cleaning crew. In general the condo just did not seem homey at all. The plastic signs directing you on not to touch the router and how to open the blinds made it seem very impersonal. Overall, it was not a bad stay and the condo was clean it was just somewhat disappointing in the lack of amenities and the early check out time. I do thank the owners for letting us stay and she was a pleasure to work with but we have stayed at many other condo's on the island and we will not be back to this one again.

  Owner response: This is a 2BR, 2BA unit that is 1100 square feet overall. The balcony is a long wrap around, but somewhat narrow. The bedrooms are large, as is the kitchen. The living room area is 198 sq. ft. I actually know this because I am considering new flooring in this area. After this renter emailed me (on the last day of her visit), I did speak with my cleaning lady who assured me that she left an extra roll of toilet paper under the sinks in both baths as usual, along with guest soaps in the BRs and a packet of auto dish detergent. She said she does not leave extra trash bags. I cannot explain the discrepancy, however, I have shared this review with the cleaning staff and since I am currently at the condo myself, I am certain that there is plenty of toilet paper, trash bags, and soap for our future guests. In fact, we usually do leave our extra things behind at the start of the season in the owner's closet. I always let guests borrow from our 'stash' if they have forgotten things like sunscreen, shampoo, or soap, trash bags, or they want to use whatever laundry detergent or fabric softener there is. This guest would have been welcome to use the new bath soaps and hand soaps, which were available in the owner's closet. As far as the impersonal signs - I did not have signs when we first got the rather expensive vertical blinds in the MBR and I would have to have service calls at least a couple of times a year. Since I put up the sign at the suggestion of the Blinds 'guy', I have had far fewer problems. I have taken the sign away from the router/modem because it has not kept people from changing network settings and I have gotten better at fixing it long distance:) Check out time is 10:00 am when there are back to back renters, but I have cheerfully allowed late check outs if there are no new guests expected immediately and would have gladly extended checkout for these guests if they had asked. These guests left the condo in good condition. I regret they were not totally happy with their stay.

  First time in ft.Walton and at this condo. Want to says thanks to the condo owners was everything they said and more plenty of room for all of us, quite at night so you can get a good nights rest we were able to see the fireworks from the balcony. Had great weather all week and seen dolphins everyday will be back next year.

  I just want to thank Mary and her husband for letting us stay in the condo. The new fridge is working great and so is the new air conditioning! I loved the new door in the master bedroom, it works so smooth now and there is no more outside noise coming thru. We love staying in your condo, you are so nice to talk to and work with. We are looking forward to coming again next May! Thank you again for sharing your condo with us!

  A friend and I spent a week in this condo and we felt like we were at home. The condo is very spacious and equipped with everything you might need...dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, books to read, videos to watch, games to play and on and on. Everything was very clean. Even though we didn't use the pool, we sat in the chairs around the pool and the pool looked to be very clean. And the view...what can I say...sitting on the balcony and watching the waves on the gulf is so very relaxing. The view as well as the pictures of the condo look just like the pictures. Very good location...close to everything. The restaurants were very convenient and the food (mainly the seafood) is excellent. Would highly recommend this to anyone and look forward to going back for a longer stay next time!

  First, may I say thank you to the owners who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional! OK, the drains were slow and the fridge wasn't working properly, but they sent someone out immediately to address our problem..for this we were very grateful. The water pressure was very strong and we never ran out of hot water! We had 5 adults in the condo, had plenty of room and all slept soundly. It was very clean and we loved the decor....the sofa is super comfy, as are the over -sized chairs! And for those rainy days or is you get a little too much sun the first day, there were books, puzzles and games. Plus, you have free internet access and cable. The convenience is a big big plus for us....just a minute's walk to the pool and beach. We grilled a couple of times, and i will give you this advise....you may have to go down to the grill area and get in line... should you see people down there (you have a very good view of the grills from the balcony) It was fun talking to the other guests while we were waiting, and we were able to use the charcoal that they had! There is also an herb garden that the guests are welcome to share! The Tom Thumb is convenient for those little things you might need to pick up...especially ice! Some restaurants that we enjoy....Pandora's has a Prime Rib special on Sunday and Wed. nites....$12.99 and it was very very good! (Make reservations) High Tide is our favorite place to eat....great fried and grilled seafood!!! (also a fav of the locals ;-) For really good pizza, and if you like to play pool, Helen Back is another local's hangout that is a lot of fun!!! They have a huge deck on the bay, bands on some nites and ladies and men's nites... We've gotten to know quite a few locals and always look forward to seeing them again. ***Don't forget to go to the office and get your parking pass!!! We forgot and almost got towed!   First to last impressions not good. The beach,pool and weather was wonderful.Our sons stayed in another condo there so we enjoyed our time with the grandkids. I would suggest that you replace the refrigerator, remove the filthy carpet, wash the windows, have your cleaning crew change the mattress pads and wash after each rental. Clean the bedspreads in each bedroom and have them match in the smaller bedroom. One was like the picture the other looked like a rag. For the price not nice. I would not stay there again or advise anyone I know to.

  Owner response: Because this renter called or texted over 20 times in the first 24 hours of their arrival, we were very concerned and talked to our cleaning company and refrigerator repairman immediately. The cleaning inspector said that they had taken our new bedspreads out to be laundered and replaced them with ones remaining in the condo from last season. We didn't know this and have since straightened it out with the cleaners by pointing out that we have a second set of matching bedspreads that they were unaware of, in the event they see fit to remove the bedspreads for laundering in the future.. We have checked back with subsequent renters and have been assured that the condo was neat, clean, and looked just like the pictures, bedspreads included. These renters had changed the settings on the refrigerator and were instructed by the repairman on how to reset them and the refrigerator was working after that. However, we are planning on installing a new refrigerator, since this has been a recurring problem. The carpeting is just 3 years old and is steam cleaned every year in the spring and fall. We talked to subsequent renters who had no complaints about the carpet. If we have a beak during the high season, we uusually clean the carpets again.

  The condo was oceanfront but our room was not. The beds were very uncomfortable and we had to purchase memory foam to tolerate them. These were two questions we spefically asked the owner with misleading response. The road was noisy in front of the condo and the blinds did not close well enough to keep light out. The refridgerator could definately use updating because it took 2 days for it to cool. Enjoyed our vacation due to the location and pool but will not stay at this unit again.

  Owner response: If asked about the beds, which we were not, I would have said they were very comfortable, since most people, including myself and my husband who have back problems, really like them. See other reviews. So I really cannot address this complaint and the renter did not mention it to me. We would not ever wish to mislead anyone. This renter asked if they had to cross the street to get to the beach. We said no, just go down the elevator and walk back.. We always tell potential renters the same- thing that the complex is on the beach, our unit is on the side, but it is angled toward the beach for a good view. The pictures in our ad are exactly what you see from the condo. The units that face the beach directly are usually about $100 a week or more higher in price. Most of the people who have stayed appreciate the savings that staying in this unit provide, while still enjoying beautiful views. We think it entirely likely that the road in front of the condo during the high season is busy and we really do not know what we could do about it. We installed shades in addition to blinds, in the only room where anyone ever complained about light, so we are not sure what this comment refers to. We have experienced problems with people changing the settings on the refrigerator which seems to cause cooling problems. Our appliance repairman, who spoke to this renter, says there is nothing wrong with the refrigerator, however, he is going to remove the knobs and put up signs for us, so this does happen in the future.

  The condo was great! Myself along with some friends stayed here for spring break and loved it! The location (right on the beach) is awesome! Great views from the master bedroom and balcony's. Everything from the bedrooms to bathrooms, kitchen, and living area was super clean and very comfortable! The complex was very quiet, very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was heated, very nice and clean. Overall the condo was great, I would definitely stay here again!
