My family stayed in the Hillside cabin for a week to celebrate our son's fourth birthday and my 6th anniversary with my husband. We had an excellent time! The cabin was very cozy and welcoming. Our favorite part was the fire pit just off of the porch where we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores almost every night of our stay. The cabin was very convenient to the train station and my family really enjoyed trying out the local restaraunts as well! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We can't wait to come back - hopefully very soon!
Owner response:So nice to hear that you enjoyed your anniversary & birthday at Fox Creek Cabins. We hope you can come back to the Smokys soon to take advantage of the repeat guest discount. --- Alan & Bev Miller

This was a vacation for my sister after she suddenly lost her husband of a massive heart attack. It's been very hard taking care of her 4 girls and one grandson with no income coming in,but her faith for God is amazing. This cabin was awesome and worth every dime. Peaceful, relaxing, and things to do with the whole family. even though this was a sister/sister vacation. We rode the Smokey Mountain Rail Road just mins from the cabin. Visit the local stores, watched families rafting, Saw a Bear. Had a peeping tom that we named this time Foxy( A yellow tabby cat).lol we grilled, set in the hot tub, drank coffee out on the beautiful porch. and relaxed. We will be coming back and staying in one of the three cabins. Thank You for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cabin home away from home.
Owner response:We are glad you enjoyed your retreat at Fox Creek Cabins. Being a small family owned business, we try to provide a everything a cabin in the Smokys should have. Remember that all returning guests get a discount on repeat visits. --- Alan & Bev Miller

Fox Creek Cabin Meadowside is one of 3 Fox Creek cabins off the road in this secluded area. While there are 3 cabins, you have privacy from your vacationing neighbors! We stayed at Fox Creek Meadowside. Great hot tub for relaxing. Walk along the creek to a "hidden" waterfall. Cozy (but spacious) 2 bedroom cabin that was clean, and welcoming. Nice owners! Want fun? Bryson City has been touted as one of the 10 best outdoor activities areas. Whitewater rafting, tubing, pontoon boat riding, fly-fishing, zip line gliding, horse back riding, jet boat rides, hiking, and more! Must visit the Cork & Bean in downtown Bryson City (Wake Up & Wine Down). We will be staying in one of these cabins again in the future!

My husband and grandkids stayed at Fox Creek cabin (creekside) from July 2 - July 6 and had a wonderful time. The kids could not get enough of the beautiful waterfall! The water was too cold for me but I had a great time wading in the creek with them, looking for treasures! Only issue was the DVR did not work - but we did not come there to watch movies!! We hope to stay there again!
Owner response:We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. I'm sorry you didn't call us about the DVD while you were there. We would have replaced it right away, which we did right after you left.

We stayed in the Meadowside cabin July 11-18, and really enjoyed our stay at Fox Creek. Our 3 young boys loved playing in the creek, especially at the large waterfall. We are hoping to come back to stay at Meadowside next summer. Thank you very much for making our stay fun and memorable.
Owner response:An unfortunate note: the waterfall these guests enjoyed is no longer available to our guests. Although only 50 feet farther along our Creekside trail, the property where it sits has been sold and the new owners will not allow access as the previous owners did .

The cabin is really nice to come home to after an eventful day out. The watefall was a bit of a let down. * Our evenings eating dinner here and grilling out were wonderful. The hot tub was AMAZING!! The cabin is not far from Cherokee where we had fun experiencing casino life, just remember to stop while you're ahead! Our vacation was over way too soon! We will have many wonderful memories of this cabin. ______________________________ * Homeowner's Notes: I'm sure they didn't go all the way to the waterfall! Don't stop at the 2ft fapids. Continue until you can't go anymore. The waterfall is 20 feet tall!

Thank you for letting us use your cabin! We had incredible weather and enjoyed the peacefulness of the back deck and the sounds of the creek. We loved the short hike upstream to visit the waterfall. We were able to do tubing at Deep Creek and white water rafting on the Tuckaseegee -- perfect for our kids! We enjoyed our nightly ritual of s'mores around the campfire. This was the first time we've experienced the Great Smoky Mountains and we've seen some amazing scenery.

Our favorite excursions are tubing Deep Creek and walking our dogs on Island Park in the middle of the Tuckaseegee River in downtown Bryson City at the east end of Bryson Street. We photographed Elk in Cataloochee and waterfalls all over including Pnathertown, Schoolhouse Falls off Cold Mountain Rd. Our favorite waterfall andcreek is at Fox Creek /Shephered Hollow! The people in town are very nice. Our second stay in the cabin was as magical as last year. We look forward to coming every year. Thank you for everything!

I have enjoyed my stay. The waterfall is quite nice. My purpose on this sabbatical was to study the forest, particularly the poplar grove at Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Future viitors might take a moment to reflect opon the mosses growing in the tree tops. pausing to consider the significance of the canopy plants which may survive only in this particular niche of remaining Old Growth Appalachian Hardwoods. Consdering this area is regarded as the seedbed for reforestaion after the last ice age, the implication of undiscovered knowledge contained in the remaining Old Growth Canopy is intimidating. Be sure to look down too for snails and such.

Happy New Year!!! We loved the cabin. It's beautiful, peaceful, and the sound of the creek is awesome. We're from Columbia, South America, but live in Savannah GA and our trip to the beautiful Smoky Moutnains reminded us of our country. We came here with two boys and both grandmas and we had a lovely time seeing them so happy and enjoying the cabin, the creek, the views... everything. We went tubing and skiinging in Cataloochee & Maggie Valley and for our first time being with snow, I guess we can se that we survived... and will definitely keep trying to stay on our feet next time. :) (Thank God for the hot tub) Our dog, Simona, had a blast !!! Thank you for being pet-friendly. We'll definitely recommend it to our friends.

We had a wonderful time staying in your lovely cabin. The waterfall was great. We had a bonfire almost every single night and made smores and burnt marshmellows (yum). Spent the day at Dollywood. Visited Uncle Bill's Flea Market. Wnet mining at Gold City and we are bringing home a huge bag of rocks of course. We also lost some money at the casino. A busy but relaxing week. We will be back.

The waterfall is splendid. The hot tub was a great way to end the day relaxing with a glass of Biltmore Estate Chardonnay. The tree frogs woo you to sleep at night. Shopping for fresh produce and grilling the Best Sweet Corn and Pork Tenderloin, eating on the picnic table by the babbling brook. We had a great time.

First time spending part of our vacation at Fox Creek. The cabin and location was better than we imagined. Beats any hotel any day! Our favorite part was the beautiful waterfall and sitting under the cool water on such a hot day. The kids came back with such a rock collection. Tip : follow the tail as far as you can go and don't stop at the "small waterfall" -- keep going! We went on the Smoky Mountain Railroad yesterday, and to the Rose Creek mines today. Tomorrow we will go to Biltmore Estate. We will be back!

Our week in Cox Creek was heavenly. The sounds of the creek were fantastic. We lvoed our daily walk to the waterfall. The cabin is perfect. This was the best week ever. We came up here not only for a vacation but also to look for our next home. This cabin was more pleasant than any of the real estate we saw. We will remember our wonderful week in Fox Creek as a special time. We home to come back next year for more tubing.

While staying at this "foxy" hideaway our family has created such memories that will never be forgotten. Stepping in to the frigid mountain air -- Floridians like us are not sued to these icy temperatures (68 degrees, brrrr)! The hot tub is fantastic after a day of tubing at Deep Creek.

What an awesome family vacation! We never stopped and it's time to go but there's so much more we want to do! We can't wait to come back. The waterfalls at Deep Creek in the Smoky Mountain National Park are beautiful. If you are taking 441 from Cherokee to TN make sure to stop at the top of the mountain at Clingman's Dome. The view is undescribable. Coming back to this cozy cabin every night was so relaxing. Couldn't have asked for a cleaner place. One more thing... make sure to look for the fireflies at night!

With the rooster cockaling, the parents snoring, the creek babling, the waterfall gushing, the ladybugs a flight, the hot-tub bubling, the fireplace crackling and the smell of a ru cabin, makes us feel right at home during the holiday season. We're already planning another trip here, there is always something to do. We bought a Wii for the family, but ended up playing the good old board games in the cabin, especially Cranium! In case you are wondering, the waterfall is a short 5 minute walk up the stream. Happy New Year!

Oh My Gosh!! We had a wonderful time and what a lovely cabin to stay in. The waterfall, hot tub, fireplace - just great. Our 6 year old grand daughter had a ball, Now her favorite animal is the FOX. It snowed on the 15th, that was totally awesome!! We tore up the trout yesterday, 11 bagged and 2 monsters got away. Nothing better than out of the stream and onto the grill rainbow trout. We'll be back, it was truly a wonderful relaxing vacation.
