Tucked into a pine forest on a quiet cul de sac three miles south of Wilson, the Pine View Cabin offers the peace and serenity that so many people value in a Jackson Hole vacation. The cabin is located on the grounds of the famous Crescent H Ranch, a Jackson landmark for the past 60 years, which is tucked into the Bridger-Teton National forest and offers some of the best fly fishing in the area. While seemingly in a world of its own, the cabin is only a short 20 minute drive from both the town of Jackson and Teton Village, Jackson’s ski mountain and gateway to Grand Teton National Park.
The entrance to the cabin leads to a gracious foyer, with a powder room to the left, kitchen straight ahead, and two-story great room to the right. The great room, which is surrounded by glass on three sides to take best advantage of the surrounding pine forest, focuses on a delightful wood burning fireplace, offset on the other side of the room by an entertainment center contained in a heroic armoire.
The great room flows seamlessly into a separate dining room and then into the kitchen, with a five burner cook top on a separate island and convenient pass-through to the dining room. Off the kitchen is a small office and a hallway leading to two twin-bedded bedrooms and a shared bath. Past the bedrooms is a large, heated two-car garage, much valued in Jackson on cold winter days.
The upper level of the cabin contains the master and junior master suite. The spacious master bedroom has a queen bed, private deck overlooking the forest, and a large bath with dual vanities, a jetted tub, and separate shower, all finished in marble. The junior suite, which also has a marble, dual vanity private bath, has a queen bed and is infused with natural light.
The lower level is devoted to a large den with a media center and large game table. With a sleep sofa and full bath, the den can also double as an overflow bedroom.
Perhaps the most special part of the home is an expansive deck accessed from both the great room and dining room. With a gracious hot tub, overhanging pine boughs, and the backdrop of the cabin itself, the deck has the feeling of a very private sanctuary in the woods. |
