Casa Lupita is a beautiful home that is only 15 minutes from the Jardin and five minutes from Fabrica La Aurora, the most exclusive shopping center in San Miguel de Allende. Fabrica La Aurora has over 20 stores ranging from art galleries, antiques, furniture manufacturers, restaurants, jewelry, clothing, women accessories, and more.
This quaint, Mexican, contemporary, two-story home is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Just far enough from all the noise when the locals' fire off their fireworks during the fiestas, yet are still able to enjoy the show. From the roof-top terrace you have a fantastic view of the Parroquia and surrounding colonial historical sites.
To the east you have a mountain range that changes colors as the sun goes down in the evening. Sit and enjoy your favorite hot or cold drink while watching the sunset or see the hot-air balloon land in the soccer field early in the morning just behind the house.
A small store (tiendita) that has some groceries is two blocks away. A complete department store is only a ten-minute drive from the neighborhood. On your walk passed the Fabrica La Aurora you will find taco stands, several bakery shops with great bread, pharmacy, and some small decoration stores. Every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday you can find Trini setting up his gorgeous vegetable and fruit stand just walking distance from the house.
If you tell Trini what you like, he will even deliver at no charge to your door. Enjoy the feeling of living in a small town but yet have all the comforts you are accustomed too. San Miguel has some of the greatest restaurants in Mexico. As you explore the town you will find every kind of Mexican and international cuisine that your heart desires.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor and has double doors that open to the private patio. The other two bedrooms are on the second floor and each have a balcony that overlooks the back patio and have a great view towards the hills. The living room and dining room are on the first floor with easy access to the kitchen. The family room is on the second floor and has a great seating area to play games or simply sit back and relax reading a good book or watching the TV.
When you go out towards the roof-top terrace you will find a wet bar ready for you to prepare some great margaritas. Then go on up with your refreshments and watch as the migrating birds fly above and notice the great cloud formations that you find in this part of Mexico. From this vista you will appreciate all the church spires and see all the colorful architecture rolling down the hills of San Miguel.
Adjacent to the kitchen you will step outside and find a wash area and down a small corridor a maid's room which is used as storage. The third complete bathroom is located next to the maid's room. In the kitchen you will be able to cook great meals with the gas stove and oven. Store all your fresh food in the full-size refrigerator. Need to heat up some leftovers you can use the large microwave oven. The utility/pantry room is off the kitchen and has a stacked washer/dryer. You will find plenty of space for storage in the utility/pantry.
Casa Lupita is a wonderful place to spend time with your family. Peaceful and inspiring with great primitive Mexican art hung on the walls. Strategic location from which you will be able to venture out and discover everything San Miguel de Allende has to offer. Meet interesting artists, try great food, shop every kind of store imaginable, visit the historical churches and buildings, listen to the mariachis play in the Jardin as kids run around and play.
