The ever-changing views are breathtakingly awesome during the day…but when the sun goes down, the twinkling of the lights around the lake and a million stars will keep you captivated for hours. From your deck you can look down on boaters, sailors, jet-skiers, holiday fireworks, drifting clouds, deer and soaring hawks.
After a weekend here, you may just want to stay longer. That's OK... just call us and we'll be happy to extend your stay (if available).
The area is home to uncrowded and intimate wineries, great dining, golfing, world-class fishing and watersports. We're close to Robinson Rancheria Casino and across the lake from KONOCTI Resort and Spa. Nearby, you can catch a glider and fly silently over the Lake and the stunning Mayacamas Mountain Range.
And then, of course, there's our favorites...Reading, Relaxing, Eating, Napping, Sipping Wine and entertaining friends on the deck overlooking the lake!
And, in case you forget to bring your own entertainment...we have Satellite TV, a bookshelf full of unique books, a collection of great CDs to help you relax and an assortment of DVDs to watch. We also have binoculars, playing cards, puzzles, dominoes, puzzles and board games.
There's so much to do near here... PERLA del LAGO is a lovely drive from the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley where you can dine in fine restaurants, visit mud and mineral baths, shop and tour wineries...

...you may just prefer the local uncrowded and "undiscovered" wineries in the Lake County Wine Country (such as Jim Fetzer's Ceago Winegarden, Gregory Graham, Langtry Estates-Guenoc, Tulip Hill, Steele, Shannon Ridge, Vigilance, Wildhurst, Rosa d'Oro, Abbott, Brassfield Estates, Ployez and Monte Lago). In fact California just designated its newest Appellation in August of 2005 to the "High Valley Appellation" region near here.
There are plenty of trails in the area for Hiking, Biking, Horseback Riding and communing with the local wildlife.
There are excellent restaurants for dining in Upper Lake, Cobb, Middletown, Kelseyville and Lakeport. If you wish to BBQ or dine "at home", visit locally-famous, "Kenny the Butcher", up the road at the Lakeview Market in Lucerne for some of the best meats you'll ever eat!

ABOUT LAKE COUNTY AND CLEARLAKE
Clearlake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the State of California and second oldest lake in the world! Visitors enjoy fishing, swimming, sailing, wind surfing, parasailing, water-skiing, boating, and riding jet skis. There are 11 free boat launch ramps around the lake, and individuals can rent boats and personal watercraft from many local businesses. Clearlake can be found in beautiful Lake County, approximately 90 minutes northwest of Sacramento and 90 minutes northeast of San Francisco. For thirteen consecutive years Lake County has had the cleanest air in all of California. Winters are mild here, generally 40s and 50s and Summer temperatures are usually in the 80s and 90s.
The lake itself is truly magnificent. It stretches nearly twenty miles in length and includes over 100 miles of shoreline. Considered a “warm water” lake, the bass fishing is unrivaled as witnessed by the 40+ fishing tournaments held here annually out of Thompson Harbor. Professional fishing organizations such as BassMasters, W.O.N. Bass, Angler’s Choice, American Bass, West Coast Bass, and FLW, to name just a few, are regular participants. The record large mouth bass caught out of this lake weighed a whopping 17.52 pounds!

My husband and I just come back from our getaway at Perla Del Lago. We did not want to leave the house for a moment. It was so relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed dinners on the patio watching spectacular sunsets over the lake and view from the bedroom every morning. The house is very clean and well maintained. We couldn't have wished for more. Perla del Lago was the perfect place to host my sister’s bachelorette party. The house is incredible--the views are breathtaking, inside is gorgeous and so comfortable (and impeccably clean!). The five of us enjoyed time together cooking (great kitchen!), talking and laughing for hours into the night...which made us reallllly glad you have an espresso machine and we could make yummy coffee drinks the next morning. And thank you so much for all the free wine tastings!! We looooved all the wineries--we had no idea Lake County was so charming! It’s totally different than the crowded Napa wineries--we had such personal experiences at every one. At Ceago, we sat at the table in their tasting room, they brought out warm bread and their own fresh olive oil for us to enjoy with our tasting. We visited Gregory Graham, bought a bottle of Pinot Noir (incredible!) and he took us on a personal tour of his whole wine making process--he even gave the bride-to-be a complimentary bottle of dessert wine! We went down the road to Vigilance winery and they had a wine club event going on--and invited us to join them!! They were so warm and welcoming! And I have to tell you, one of the girls has a baby, but we didn’t want to bring him along to the wineries. The ONLY way we were able to convince her husband to come up to watch her son while us girls went out is because you guys get satellite TV and he could watch the game--although we all ended up laughing at him because he was so overtaken with the view out back that he said he spent all the commercials outside on the deck!! The whole experience, from the house, to everyone we met, to the time we spent just us girls was so great--we felt like we were on an extravagant vacation but so peaceful and “at home” (maybe because we could chill to your awesome selection of music--WOW, you guys have GREAT taste. Forgot to mention that on the first night, we got in kind of a fun party mood and danced our hearts out--thank goodness there’s no other places too close by that could hear/see us--haha. The next night we were much “classier” and enjoyed your jazz collection). Anyways, thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us girls to have some much needed pre-wedding down time. We can’t wait to come back! Cheers!

PERLA del LAGO is the best - what more can you say except the location is great with views over the lake that can't be beaten. Bill and Kim really make sure that there is everything you need for your break. We met some great people and had some great experiences - will definately come back again. You can't help but relax.We are making sure that everyone we talk to knows we had a really great holiday – we think it’s one of our best ever and will definitely get back to Lake County sometime soon. We are still boring everyone to death with our holiday pictures and long may it last.

In our last 15+ years of vacationing around the world this has been THE BEST vacation home we have ever rented. Bill and Kim went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. The views from this place are amazing, we had a great time relaxing in the solitude and the wide arms of nature. Be it the star gazing, or the bird watching, every aspect of our stay was memorable. Cant wait to get back out there very soon.

We came to Clear Lake to test our new 4WD vehicle on the dirt roads of the Mendocino National Forest a few miles behind Perla del Lago, but we found the house so comfortable and well-situated that we were tempted to do nothing but watch the wild turkeys, hawks and other birds during the day and watch the stars and listen to the crickets and the CD collection of Bill Evans, Diana Krall and other jazz favorites at night. The photographs of the stylish interior are good, but the reality is even better, particularly if you are a Francophile or Italophile. Five stars.

Bill & Kim, What an unbelievable weekend! This place is fantastic. It was so relaxing that it is going to be very hard to get back to work.
