This spectacular Church, built in 1860 was decommuted in the 1930's and then used as the North Egremont Town Hall until the 1970's when it was converted to be used as a private home. The great room is 40 x 40 with the highest peak reaching 50 feet. The floor plan is open and allows plenty of room for gatherings.
Upstairs, the Master Bedroom, with a king size bed, has a gorgeous painted "fresco" on the curved wall. The lighting is warm and intimate. The Master has it's own full sized batthroom with tub/shower combo. Off the master bedroom is a delightful children's room with twin bunk beds. There is a bedroom in the other wing up the upstairs - The Choir Loft - houses two twin futon beds. This room also has it's own full bathroom. On the main floor, there is another, lovely, spacious, bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is also a full sized pull-out couch, in the living room, for an extra visitor. There is a 1/2 bathroom on the main floor.
The dining room will seat 10, and the kitchen is cozy, holding all of the essential amenities one needs for preparing wonderful meals. We are fully booked for ski season 2008. We are actively seeking a full seasonal summer renter. Book now, before Jan. 1 2008 and receive a 10% discount for a monthly or full seasonal summer rental for 2008.
