This spectacular Church, built in 1860 was decommuted in the 1930's and then used as the North Egremont Town Hall until the 1970's when it was converted to be used as a private home. The great room is 40 x 40 with the highest peak reaching 50 feet. The floor plan is open and allows plenty of room for gatherings.
Upstairs, the Master Bedroom, with a king size bed, has a gorgeous painted "fresco" on the curved wall. The lighting is warm and intimate. The Master has it's own full sized bathroom with tub/shower combo. Off the master bedroom is a delightful children's room with twin bunk beds. There is a bedroom in the other wing up the upstairs - The Choir Loft - houses two twin futon beds. This room also has it's own full bathroom. On the main floor, there is another, lovely, spacious, bedroom with a queen sized bed. There is also a full sized pull-out couch, in the living room, for an extra visitor. There is a 1/2 bathroom on the main floor. The church is much like a loft with partitioned walls. New added curtains in the choir loft add privacy to this unique home.
The dining room will seat 10, and the kitchen is cozy, holding all of the essential amenities one needs for preparing wonderful meals. New windows were added to the playroom and it is now light-filled and bright!
There is an invisible fence for dogs as well as a gated yard for privacy. There is a fire pit with both gas and charcoal grill and outdoor seating for ten people. The yard is large and open for children and pets with a sandbox and a zip-line, for younger children.
The Berkshires is known for its wonderful shopping, restaurants, galleries, live theater, hiking trails, swimming holes, and ski resorts. We pretty much have it all here and Northe Egremont is very central to all of these activities and more. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow as well as many wonderful museums are all within a shirt drive through the most stunning roadways in the Northeast. This home provides a wide array of cultural recommends as well as a thorough home-information packet. Come on in and relax.... You're on vacation!

Winter/ski 2009: $4000/month/ $1750 per week
minimal rental fee for up to 4 nights: $1500 plus cleaning fee of $150
off season / spring please inquire for rates
Peak season: May 25 - October 18: $2000 per week/ inquire for longer stays
Refundable Security Deposit Required
Pets requie a non-refundable pets fee but are welcome guests at The Church!!
