Come relax on the coast of Maine in our brand new (2004) beautiful post and beam style vacation home. Our house is nestled between the quaint lobster fishing villages of Port Clyde and Tenants Harbor on the Saint George Peninsula which makes up the western shore of Penobscot Bay. Here you can relax on uncrowded beaches, book a sailing charter, stroll the shops and galleries, go antiquing, and dine in a variety of wonderful restaurants. Maine is the perfect place to be in the summer. Camden and Rockland are only 20-30 minutes away and both offer wonderful things to do for the whole family.
The house is about 800 feet from the water, and less than a mile from the beach. The house has three bedrooms, two and-a-half baths, and an open floor plan. There are hardwood floors throughout, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and the living room is open to the upstairs loft with a stone chimney and wood stove. The house is surrounded by a large private yard with beautiful perennial gardens and a large back deck. The house is kid-friendly with high chair, crib, and gates. Pets are welcomed on a case by case basis with permission.
The location of our house offers you the experience of the real Maine Coast with all modern amenities close by. From Port Clyde you can catch the ferry to Monhegan Island (an artist community with bold sea cliffs), dine on the dock, or rent kayaks and cruise the bay. Rockland and Camden offer shopping, dining, hiking, festivals (Lobster Festival, Blues Festival, Schooner Days, etc.), movie theatres, Farnsworth Art Museum, and more.
Our house has everything you need to make your vacation comfortable and memorable. The house is brand new so all the systems are in perfect working order, there is a care taker a few doors down if you need assistance with anything, and we are always available if you have any questions or concerns.
