Built in 1906, this historic house was originally the lightkeeper’s residence at the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse, gateway to Big Sur. You will be touched by the charm and grace of this beautifully restored ocean-view Victorian. Wood floors, authentic antiques, ocean view, and many other special touches add to the romance of this immaculate and spacious landmark home.
The house features two bedrooms downstairs, one queen and two twin beds, a full bathroom with claw-footed tub and shower, family room with flat screen TV and DVD player, dining room and kitchen with large butcher block island perfect for dining and entertaining. Upstairs is a large master suite with queen bed, TV and VCR, sitting area, full bathroom with separate stall shower and large tub, and a balcony with sweeping ocean views.
A generous deck, equipped for lounging and outdoor dining, opens onto a lovely English garden. The tide pools of Moonstone Beach and miles of scenic walking trails are a stone's throw away. Hearst Castle is 10 minutes by car. The wine region in Paso Robles is a 20 minute drive from Cambria.

We just spent a week in your home and wanted to let you know it was the best week we have ever spent in Cambria, and a lot of that had to do with the house. We have been vacationing in Cambria for well over ten years now, and have been renting the house on Stafford directly behind your home on most of those visits. We have always admired the Chatham house and were thrilled that we finally got the opportunity to stay there. Needless to say, it was everything we hoped for and more. Within the first few hours, it felt like we were "at home" and we did our best to treat and respect the house as if it was our home. I certainly hope we will be able to enjoy the coziness and charm of this home from now on when we come to Cambria. - Mike and Norma

We have stayed in this wonderful home twice. It is our favorite place to stay in Cambria. It is a home where you feel you have stepped back in time and yet it is quite comfortable. The house has a history and there are accounts of the history in the home. I love this house.

This is just a delightful place! Step back into the past in this lightkeeper's house. Everything you need is there--just pack your bag and come. Relax on the upper deck with a fabulous view of the ocean or in the peaceful garden. Loved every minute. Thanks
