Micasa is a two-unit, Craftsman-style, redwood bungalow situated on a spacious corner lot on a quiet street in North Berkeley. The house was built in 1905 and perches atop a hill, giving it both a sense of seclusion and a lovely view. Located a five-block stroll from Berkeley's "Gourmet Ghetto," boutiques, public pool, running track and parks, it is also easy distance from the California Berkeley campus. Also nearby is a large public library, farmer's market, and a downtown theater district. Public transportation is close, including bus lines and Bart trains.
The house, 800 square feet, is a spacious, one-bedroom accommodation offering a full kitchen with microwave and full gas range. A private deck just outside the kitchen provides a sunny place to relax from morning until mid-afternoon. The living/dining area is furnished with elegant antique furniture and several beautiful and unique period light fixtures. The light, airy room is spacious enough to ensure comfort when entertaining. An inviting window-seat corner is perfect for curling up with a book, or enjoying the sunset, framed by west-facing windows.
Other amenities include an ample fireplace, and comfortable sofa bed. You will also enjoy views from our many windows of our trees and gardens. The bedroom offers a queen-size bed dressed in fine linens and is exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful nights sleep. Adjoining the bedroom is a full bath with a tub and shower.
