A Storybook Style Estate
Let yourself relax in a palace on the beach. It is the hundreds of small details that makes this artist’s home so unique and interesting. Wherever you look there is a sensuous curve in a relaxing fleshy hue. Located just two hundred yards from the Pacific, ocean views stretch out in three directions and sunset beach walks are just a minute away. Casa Nova will accommodate six to ten people with its two bedrooms and large bunkhouse.
The great room hosts ocean views out every window and a fully furnished gourmet kitchen. This extra large space is designed for group activity. Granite countertops and a six burner commercial range make preparing a big dinner of fresh local fish and salad from the local market an easy enjoyable event. The island counter carved from local eucalyptus wood is perfect for sushi parties and socializing while many hands do the work. The kitchen stretches on to an extravagantly large mahogany dining room table (seats 12). At night a magnificent blown glass chandelier casts an even glow about the room. Two soft sofas lead to a massive stone fireplace in the corner. Firewood is provided for a small fire to warm the body, spirit, and conversation.
Master Suite
You will instantly feel like royalty as you enter the master suite. The master bedroom is spacious with plenty of room for spreading out. The ocean is visible in three directions from the king sized bed. This room features a walk-in closet, bathroom, and a masterfully built vaulted brick dome ceiling. Sliding glass pocket doors lead to a private sunset balcony over looking the vast Pacific Ocean. These features make this room a wonder to stay in.
Guest Room
From the Queen sized bed one can view the ocean through two arched windows. Opening onto the upper terrace the room is truly an out door, indoor space. Morning sunrises in this room are colorfully luscious and sunsets are beautiful too. With its sage green crown molding and Navajo style inlay design, it gives off a southwestern feel.
Bunk House
This building stands alone resembling a hobbit’s house with its double arched doors and canted walls. Twelve equal sides create a virtually round space 25 ft across. Ample windows splash light across the building’s one large room. Benches surround the room on eight sides. They are excellent for stashing your personal belongings out of the way during your stay. On three sides are counters one containing a sink. This room contains two queen-sized beds. It is an excellent space for kids. Surfboards can be slid into the rafters to keep them out of the light and harms way. Anyone given this space will be comfortable and content.
Bath House
Immerse yourself in our luxurious bathhouse. This building was designed with opulence in mind, helping you linger, taking care of all your personal needs. Modern lines are complemented with age-old flagstones. Fragrant Jasmine springs from between the stones to cover the trellis with its love-inducing aroma. The walls are polished smooth and sensual. Like a Roman bath, this building with its enclosed trellised courtyard accommodates many people at one time. With ample benches, counters and hooks, all will have room to spread out their personal belongings and stay awhile. In one corner of this grand high walled courtyard the sauna is found at the top of a short stair. Passing through a charming arched door you will find yourself in a clean, compact, yet spacious sauna room. The wood stove that heats the sauna is stoked from outside the sauna room but within the privacy of the courtyard. You will find plenty of wood stacked in the bin for your use.

Wow! This place was amazing. We had a group of 8 people, 3 couples and 2 singles. The house was comfortable in spite of our large group. The kitchen is well stocked, bathhouse is awesome, beds are comfy, and the location is amazing. Close enough to Todos Santos for convenient shopping and eating, but far enough for privacy. The house is a short walk from a beach that feels private (we never ran into anyone else there). Definitely need a rental car. We had a week long trip and visited some incredible beaches (Punta Las Palmas, San Pedrito) and got 2 kilos of the most delicious fresh caught Mahi Mahi for 120 pesos at Punta Lobos. The highlight of the trip (though it's hard to pick just one) was a snorkeling day trip we took on Isla Espiritu Santo, near La Paz (580 pesos a person for a 5 hour boat tour including lunch and snorkeling equipment). The house is about 25 minutes from Los Cerritos, a beach break good for surfers of all levels. Most of our week there the waves were steep, overhead, and fast breaking. Rentals of decent selection of boards is available right on the beach for $20 US a day, but the lady will cut you a deal for a multi-day rental. We'll be back!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This home was very nice and showed as discribed. It was well located with a 3 to 5 minute walk to the beach. I would stay there again. One important thing to check on is the status of construction on a home being built 20 feet from the property boundry line. There is very little construction going on in the area due to the economy but this is going on next door. Every week day morning at 7 AM sharp 10 to 12 construction workers showed up and started grinding and pounding away. We were not told about that when we rented the property so if you are going to be there in the next 3 months, I would check on the status of this construction.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for your 4 Star Review !! Due to the nature of the current economy it is impossible for us to predict any construction in the area.

I had found Casa Nova, and thought it looked too good to be true! I sent in an inquiry, which was immediately responded to, and the planning of my girl's trip was underway! Upon arrival, my friends and I were blown away by the beauty and care that went into creating Casa Nova. We spent a wonderful 7 nights there, and it was extremely comfortable, spacious, and relaxing! The kitchen was wonderful, and we enjoyed many delicious meals on the deck. The property is very clean and well-kept. Additionally, the local property manager, Heriberto, is incredibly helpful and responsive. Each day we went into town, as well as spent a few days at nearby swimming beaches, Playa Las Palmas, and Playa Cerritos. You definitely will want a car if you're staying there. We also took a day trip to La Paz where we did a kayaking trip to beautiful desert island Espiritu Santo. I highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Casa Nova! I'd love to go back in the near future. It is a home away from home :)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

This is our second visit to Casa Nova. When we returned we remembered all the reasons we had booked it in the first place. It’s unique, lovingly designed and very comfortable. Everywhere you turn there are surprising details, natural materials and thoughtful touches. A walk-in pantry (hidden behind beautiful swinging doors); a handcrafted fireplace surround made of huge boulders from the nearby mountains; custom made crescent niches carved into the stair wall for subtle night lighting. In fact, one of the great features of Casa Nova is the careful and creative attention to all the lighting: recessed, dimmer-controlled, original wall sconces, pendant lights, organic dining room chandelier and multiple bathroom lighting fixtures. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great, and the sauna is terrific. The house is hard-wired for internet via WiFi and the system works very well. The local manager is knowledgeable, helpful, very efficient and welcoming. He’s easy to reach and committed to making one’s stay successful. The descriptions, other reviews and photos on VRBO are spot on! A word of caution, however – you’ll be happier renting a four-wheel drive vehicle as the roads to and around Las Tunas are very rough (but we’ve heard the town may pave them in the coming year).Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Casa Nova is absolutely amazing!! Located in the perfect location (Las Tunas), and just seconds from the beach there is no where in Todos Santos that I would rather stay. From the moment that you enter Casa Nova, the creativity and craftsmanship of the house become overwhelming. From the custom chef's kitchen to the sauna there is no detail missed making Casa Nova the ultimate retreat! The private property and unobstructed views of the ocean are unrivaled. I can't wait to return.....Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I had an awesome stay here! Not only are the house and grounds works of art, but also complete with everything you need to make it home. The house and surrounding area is spaciously filled with views, especially on the rooftop 'terrace'. The beach was essentially ours, with hardly ever seeing another person. Miles of it! Don't miss the fishermans beach , a memorable experience...Playa Las Palmas, one of the swimming beaches...the fresh produce market in town (we did most of our own cooking in Casa Nova's 'cooks' kitchen...fresh tortillas from the tortillarilla...and the peaceful hours of fresh ocean air and crashing waves.Did you find this review helpful? We recently returned from a month’s stay, with friends,at Casa Nova. If you are looking for a relaxed vacation in a private location, this is the perfect place. Every day is a new discovery with a variety of beaches to explore, shops & galleries to visit, and wonderful restaurants to try. Casa Nova is the most incredible place we have ever stayed, beautifully & artistically designed, completely comfortable, and equipped with all your needs. No words can describe the pleasure of showering in the open-aired bathhouse with the palms swaying overhead. And, what can be better than sipping a Margarita on the deck every evening while watching the beautiful sunsets over the ocean. A perfectly heavenly vacation. Thank you Nova, Yarrow, and Heriberto. We’ll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We were lucky enough to stay at Casa Nova for a month, with 2 other couples. The accommodations are simply the best...beautiful beyond description, comfortable, spacious; close to the beach and marvelous cafe's, a bakery, a market and a tortilleria (don't miss these!) A month gave us time to see most of the local sights and to visit La Paz a few times, and have time to truly relax and enjoy the area. The best vacation ever. Thank you so much!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Nova. It is just a beautiful and magical place. The owners attention to detail is just incredible. Todos Santos is a great place to stay--fabulous restaurants, galeries and beaches. We especially enjoyed it because it was not your typical tourist place like Cabos.Did you find this review helpful? We really love Casa Nova... we had a relaxing one week stay. The turtle hatchery is very close and so we watched the baby turtles being released into the ocean each evening just before the sunset. The house is very comfortable, and has everything anyone needs. Great kitchen and there are groceries available nearby. We took surfing lessons at Los Cerritos beach from Mario, who is also a neighbor of Casa Nova's. We'll be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
