Our first family ski trip was marred only by the fact that the ski slopes weren't open! The home was wonderful. The location was amazing with fantastic views. The tree house in the back allowed for some fantastic photos. The kitchen had almost anything a chef would need (luckily we had the chef with us!) There were just a few things that could have been better: - ALL of the firewood for the home was out and exposed to the elements, and therefore wet. If unable to go under the deck, then maybe a tarp? Just something to keep the wood dry so that it could be lighted when first getting to the home; and - the master bedroom door on the second (lower) level was a pocket door, but the original pocket door had apparently been replaced by a hinged door that had a door handle. The new door on the master had a hole where a doorknob would have been, and thus, no privacy. It was a little annoying. Otherwise, the home was great. The kitchen had plenty of space and seating. The bathrooms were well-equipped and the supply of toilet paper and paper towels was appreciated. We enjoyed our family ski weekend - even without the snow! Next year, we will choose the same house; it's hoped when there is snow!

Our group (7 adults and 4 children) recently stayed for a long weekend and we had a great time. The house is very nice and has a great set up--the two living rooms were key for us so the kids had a place to play. The kitchen is very nice and had ample bowls, pans, kitchen utensils, etc. We love to cook and this was a great place to do it. This home is very family friendly--especially for younger kids (our ages were 9,3,2,18 months). Beds and sofas were extremely comfortable--I have stayed in 10+ rental homes before and this home by far had the most comfortable furnishings. Maureen and Michael were awesome to work with--there was an issue with the cable and they were on it immediately. I also left my cell phone and they were so great about getting it back to me. Overall this is a lovely, comfortable home that is great for making memories.

This was our 2nd stay. Our children, and grandchildren love this home because of its spaciousness, yet it seems cozy. Lots of room for all. Kitchen is well-equipped and ample seating for all. The views are incredible and with fresh snow on mountian the skiing was awesome. Maureen and Michael always respond quickly to any questions. You'll love your time here!

Blue Ridge Heaven is a beautiful well equipped mountain home. We found everything we needed for cooking a huge Thanksgiving dinner. The view is spectacular with great sunrises and sunsets.

What an absolutely beautiful home!! The view was incredible, the house was nice and warm, sofas & chairs are very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary items. Mattresses were also extremely comfortable, which is important after a day of skiing!! :) Can't wait to go back and visit again!! Thanks!

This house was one of the very best we've ever rented. The layout was perfect for four couples and four small children. All the children (and their parents) stayed on the lower level where there was a big family room, expansive decks, and comfortable bedrooms. The entire house is well furnished and everything worked. The 180 degree views were spectacular though we had too much snow to sit on the big decks. Skiing was the best ever, nine inches of fresh powder and short lift lines. All-in-all, the best winter weekend we've had at Wintergreen over many years. Maureen was pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Heaven summer or winter.

Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving at this beautiful, well-appointed home. The owners have it very nicely decorated and its location is second to none at Wintergreen. The owners are very attentive and easy to deal with. I can't wait to come back again in the summer with friends.

What a wonderful place! Just celebrated my father's 70th b-day at Wintergreen. We could not have picked a better spot. The views from the house are amazing. Lots of activities for the kids (and adults too!) A great "mid-way" point for our family who is spread between MD and NC. We look forward to coming back! Thank you.

What a great home and great location! We rented from Maureen and Michael this past weekend (June 19th) for a 3 generation family reunion. The house and views were perfect---ample space for the 11 of us. The house has every luxury you want...including a fantastic gas grill on the deck. We enjoyed the Wintergarden pool and Lake Monocan (make the lake a whole day event---swimming, canoes, kayaks, sandy beach, trampoline in the water---bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the beach). The kids enjoyed The Dome/Out of Bounds---bungee jumping, rock-climbing, air hockey, video games and mechanical bull-riding! We hiked Crab Tree Falls (30 minutes away) which is a 2 mile hike up (bring water) and loved the view from the top--we packed a picnic lunch to enjoy at the top. We also hiked Shamokin Falls on Wintergreen---very nice family hike. We had an adults dinner at 'Devil's Grill' which was very good and lunch at the 'Devil's Backbone' at the base of the mountain which was excellent. It was a wonderful weekend---you will truly enjoy this home and all that Wintergreen offers!

Our experience at Blue Ridge Heaven was wonderful. Our family came from NC and NY and met in the middle. There was plenty of room for our three families. In fact, there was room to spare. The home is well appointed and feels like a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will remember our time there as a place where we build memories as a family. Maureen was especially helpful in answering all my questions as a first-time renter. Thanks so much for everything.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Our extended family of 10 spent Christmas week at this wonderful home. This was our 6th home rental at Wintergreen and this house BY FAR has been the BEST --exceeding our expectations. (Some previous houses claimed to be top notch and were not. This one truly was!) Beautifully decorated, very clean and well kept, very comfortable beds, amazing decks and views, dual family rooms for kid and adult activities, and a true cooks kitchen with all pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. We cooked all of our gourmet holiday dishes there with ease. They even had Williams Sonoma dish towels and mugs.(I say this to point out how nicely appointed this house is for a rental house)! The owners' special touches of the Christmas tree, candy canes and the "Cookies for Santa" plate charmed our kids and is a testament to the stellar customer service they provided for us. (The owner even went out in advance and bought a new spice rack knowing we were coming to cook!) We are most appreciative! We will DEFINITELY be back! It truly was "Blue Ridge HEAVEN!" Many thanks to Maureen and Michael!

Our family of 10 came from N.C. and Pa. for our first ever visit to Wintergreen. 770 Devil's Knob Loop was a perfect house to spend the Thanksgiving weekend. The View is magnificient! the house is very well designed with families in mind. the kitchen had every possible item needed for meal preparations, including a large turkey dinner. We highly recommend this house! Our 14 year old grandson arrived first with his family. He called us and said,"Once you see this house you will not want to leave!" And we didn't!! It was a fabulous vacation! The Andersons

Our family (myself, my wife, three kids aged 15, 13 and 11) stayed five nights here in August 2008 with my best friend and his wife and family (four kids aged 17, 15, 13 and 8). It was one of the most enjoyable vacations we've ever had. Waking up and having coffee and conversation on the large deck, with views of the mountains...cooking out great meals on the deck and in the spacious kitchen...watching movies each night in the large family room. The kids also enjoyed their own "playroom" downstairs. We've been to Wintergreen several times now and have considered buying, but I can't think of a better place that this house on Devil's Knob Loop. We'd walk each morning to the new Black Bear Cafe or on the golf course, twice seeing bobcats. The house was described as perfect for multi-family gatherings, and no question that's true. We've already booked our return trip!

My family came from California, Maryland, and Virginia to met at Blue Ridge Heaven. We met there Christmas day and enjoyed a week of the family being together on a beautiful mountain in a beautiful home. We have stayed in many of the homes on Wintergreen mountain, and this home is our favorite. The views are fabulous, and the house is well equipted for comfort, relaxing, and enjoying great meals toegether. Michael and Maureen are very special people to rent from. They want everyone to enjoy this piece of heaven! I plan to return, hopefully this summer and enjoy the views, the porches, and the comforts of a great home in another season.

Thanksgiving Weekend Family Reunion 770 Devils Knob Loop is the perfect place for a gathering. A beautiful home, very spacious and well laid out, ideal for a get together of the "old and the young" with its different levels. The views are breath-taking and the house is in walking distance to many activities. It was a pleasure to deal with the owners and we all voted to come back to the place for another occasion.

I rented the home in early October and filled it with a dozen of my closest women friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. While we had anticipated exploring the area during the afternoons, most enjoyed staying in the home and spending time on the decks with the incredible views. The kitchen was able to handle this group of women and there were plenty of kitchen supplies to use. Beds were very comfortable, everything was spotless. Plenty of areas to either find quiet or gather together. Several women are considering renting it for their own family vacations. The owners were attentive and very timely in their communication and follow-up before the date. The group wants to make sure I rent it again in ten years when we come together to celebrate my 60th! The only recommendation would be to have at least one other coffee maker. With that many adults staying together, we were continually making pots of coffee in the mornings.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your comment, Jacky! We do have two full sized coffee makers but with your suggestion, we will get a third one! Thanks again! Maureen

We rented the house for eight golfers and the entire party agreed that this was the best house we have rented in 15 years of similar trips. This was a rare case where the actual product far exceeded the marketing material. The views, layout of the house, furnishings and kitchen equipment all contiributed to a thoroughly enjoyable three days.

I stayed there with a bunch of friends in mid-September and we had a great time. The house was even better than the pictures, and more amazing than we expected. I think the greatest part of the house is the three levels of outside decks. And the view is unbelievable. You can catch amazing sunsets looking out the huge windows from the living room or sitting out on the deck enjoying the nice weather. The decor was great and we had a good time just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings like running and hiking trails, golf, etc. I highly recommend it and we hope to go back there soon. If anyone has questions about it, please feel free to email me.

Pictures can't capture how exceptional the views are and the house is well laid out and thoughtfully equipped. Very family friendly. The owners are really nice and were terrific to work with. We look forward to coming back.

We rented the house July 15- Aug 15 and had the time of our lives. This is by far the best rental house I have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot. They had everything you could need at the house. The furnishings were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable, we did not want to leave. The location is great with only a short walk to the spa and pool. We had different groups of people come to visit and everyone loved the house and the view.

This is an outstanding rental home. Over the past four years our families (including four children and more) have vacationed in the Mountain Village (Devil's Knob) area of Wintergreen. First off, Wintergreen is awesome. But even among the very best homes in this area available for rent, 770 Devil's Knob Loop is the creme de la creme. The house can accomodate and entertain many children – has a well thought out and designed floor plan and storage design – is tastefully furnished, well equipped, and elegantly decorated – plus fine views of the mountains and valley. It is the kind of rental home in which you will feel well cared for and want to take care of. For the family that wants the very best.

We (7 adults, 6 kids) had a wonderful stay in this house. The house is very good condition (except for the fridge door that is hard to close) and spacious. The tree house is a special add-on that my kids loved. In furnishing the house, the owner has paid attention to small details (TV's in all bedrooms, selection of linen, books, china and other kitchen gadgets). Overall, a great experience.
Owner response:Thanks so much for the note about the refrigerator. It was promptly repaired and closes perfectly now! Thanks again for pointing this out; we are so pleased you had a great experience at Blue Ridge Heaven! Hope you return to see us soon. Maureen
