The beautiful position of the villa overlloking the lake of Montepulciano - Castiglione del Lago, Italy Villa Rental
This beautifully restored eighteenth-century villa is separated into four apartments and lies alone in the country, two kilometers from the village Porto, ten minutes to the railway station of Chiusi - Chianciano Terme and the motorway. It is between Rome and Florence on top of a lovely hill in front of Montepulciano and the Valdichiana Valley. The hill overlooks gorgeous Lake Montepulciano and the charming town below.
Each apartment can accommodate four people (with space for one extra person if needed) in two rooms, a large kitchen, living room, and bathroom. The apartments can be rented separately or all together. Rental of the entire villa is ideal for a group, as spaces inside are very large.
An exceptional example of Umbrian architecture, this villa has been lovingly restored with the utmost care in retaining its ancient character. The soft pink brick is typical of this area. The nearest village is three miles away. Approximately eight miles away, you will find Lake Trasimeno and the Resort of Castiglione, with lovely sandy beaches. Montepulciano is about 18 miles away and Cortona, Siena, and Florence are easily accessible.
