  This small condo was great. The furnishings are nice and the bed slept well. The condo is exactly as it was described. It was a good size for my husband, toddler, and myself, but would have been a little crowded if there were anymore guests with us! It was just a short walk to the pool and the beach. The free beach service was wonderful! The resort has a lot to offer! We ran out of time to use all the pools! My only complaint would be the loud traffic noise from the highway! I was expecting to hear waves and not cars. We even heard it inside the condo. :-( everything else was really nice and the owners were a pleasure to work with! Very hospitable and helped ensure we had a great first family trip! Great place to stay as long as you don't need a lot of space!

  We stayed at this condo for a quick, last minute weekend getaway. The resort was great with wonderful amenties. Several pools and hot tubs to choose from on the bayside and beachside. The condo was the perfect size for the two of us...very cozy and the view was awesome!! The free beach service was a huge plus because we did not have to worry about carrying chairs and an umbrella to the beach each day. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone and all ages!!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  Location to the beach and view were wonderful; wish we knew that in February beach chair rentals were not available; the villa was clean and comfy; even though there was no oven, cooking was no problem w/the microwave and electruc burners; definitely would recommend it to others; nearby attractions we enjoyed were the Gulfarium, Crab Shack & Boardwalk, activiities at the Ramada and places in Destin, i.e., cruises on the Gulf to see dolphins, Marina Cafe, Dewey Destin Seafood, McGuires Irish Pub, the movie theatre at the Commons; we also really enjoyed the heated pools and the gym....too bad it was too chilly to enjoy the lazy river ....maybe next time.

  my husband, our toddler and i spent from mar 2 - mar 8th at this condo. Bill and I emailed back and forth quite a bit regarding scheduling, etc. Bill is a great person to work with, and is very friendly. The room was as described and very clean. There was a bit of a strong smell that was present when we arrived and remained in the condo during the week we were there, but I attributed that to the tenants that occupied the room before us (and were there for a month). I was concerned that the room would not be toddler-friendly, as our toddler is into everything and very much on the move. But we had no issues other than having to keep her out of the bathroom after we had showered because the tile floor got wet and slippery (we just kept the door close and that fixed that problem). The condo was in a great location. We were very close to a grocery store, and not far away from Destin. We were steps away from the beach and the pool. We just wish it had been warmer so that we could have taken full advantage of them. I would most definitely recommend this condo to family and friends. And hope to be back soon.

  My husband and I stayed for two nights on our way back from Disney World. This was the most relaxing part of our trip. We loved the condo and it was way better that I ever thought it would be. Bill is the best host!! He is so cordial on the phone and made me feel like we had been friends forever. Everything was just like he said it was going to be. Can't wait to come and stay again. Thanks again Bill!!

  This was our second visit to this Villa. It is a perfect little getaway spot for my husband and myself. The only suggestion I would offer is to repair the ceiling fan in bedroom. It is extremely noisy.

  We had such an amazing time staying at this villa on our recent trip to Florida. As previous reviews mention, this villa exceeded my expectations! It was the perfect size for my family of 4. I was concerned with not having two beds, but the pull out sofa was just fine for my two young daughters. The bathroom was bigger than I expected which was great having three girls in the house. :) I was also wondering about the balcony view as we have always stayed beach front with a direct beach view, however, we were quite impressed with the view! It was a nice medium, we really enjoyed being able to see the area from a different view and the balcony was so much bigger than we have had at previous beachfront condos. We were even able to see the fireworks from the Harbor (Thursday nights during the summer) while having dinner on our balcony - that was awesome!!!! The beach service was also a plus, great knowing you have spot every morning when you get to the beach! Being able to park on the 5th floor was also a HUGE bonus! Was great working with Bill on our stay, we will definately look forward to renting with you again next year. Destin West was a great property, many amenities and a great resort for families. We met some great families and made lots of great memories! Already looking foward to next year :)

  The condo was more than we expected! The property manager was helpful and easy to deal with. Our family has been visiting the Fort Walton area for 10 years. We have stayed at Destin West for 3 years but this was our first time on the gulf side.The view of the bay AND the Gulf was breathtaking! We always enjoy eating at the Crab Trap - within walking distance. The kids were amazed at the fishing boats at the marina in Destin. Hope to be back next year!

  The studio apartment was as presented on VRBO. The owner was excellent to work with - providing excellent information for our arrival. Loading and unloading on the same floor in a covered parking area was perfect.The shower was certainly a plus and and as good as any of the larger units that we have stayed in. Large bed was very comfortable - and the fold out sofa was very easy to use. We loved the "lazy river" and with access to the Ramada next door we had so many pool options that we did not know which one to choose each day. The beach service was excellent as well at the beach.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.
